Worst thing you can do when your playing against a 5 man midfield is drop off as they have all the time and space to play it about and work a situation where they can get at the defence, we started well pushing up on them but seemed to just bottle it and did the usual drop off 20 yards as soon as we lose the ball and totally surrender any momentum.

There's something about the way Liverpool play that just fucks us over, they basically play on the break the whole time and we're just so susceptible to being cut open due to lack of organisation in midfield and at the back. It was a terrible result but I really don't think that will happen this much this season. We actually started off well and pushed up and pressured high up the pitch but then just fell back into our own half and with 5 midfielders they ran us ragged, disappointing but not the end of the world.

He can make himself a nuisance if nothing else. Owen usually benefits from playing with such strikers like Heskey as it means he isn't double marked all the time, I'd give him a go if Oba's not fit. Xisco can always come on as sub.
