  1. Quick question Vic, if you could have any manager in the world to manage Newcastle, regardless of whether realistic or not, who would you choose?

    BIG RON

Wild stab in the dark, you started this thread as you fancied a pointless row, if so, much respect, anyway, off to a pub hopefully showing the game.

    Sad isn't it.

    Not even on ART?

  3. A fortune has been spent at Newcastle, we're still s***. Any one of you would love him to manage here, the only vague hope is that he's so arrogant he'd want to prove someone could make us successful.

Well I would, and am two-faced enough to change the chant in a second.

    bullshit

  4. Can't believe some are actually agreeing with Vic. An argument could be made if all he has achieved was achieved at Chelsea. It wasn't therefore this argument is s***. How did he take a team like Porto, lead them to a UEFA Cup triumph in one season then the next, lead them to the Champions League title, beating along the way clubs like Manyoo and Chelsea. Clubs like Chelsea, whom at the time was managed by a rated Claudio Ranieri, a club that had limitless money to spend, just like they do today. He's a brilliant manager. It also shows in the fact that Lampard, Cole (Joe), Terry and Drogba have developed as players.

Terry and Lampard were brilliant under Ranieri as well. Cech was a Ranieri signing.

Lampard obviously wasn't brilliant enough to be the FA Writer's Player of the Year, and runner-up for the European Player of the Year as well as runner-up for the World Player of the Year while Ranieri was coaching him. Tbh, there should be no doubt that Mourinho is a great manager. The fact is, it's harder to win a title than it is to win a cup; it's about consistency and he's developed a ruthless consistency at Chelsea. He's won the title twice and contrary to popular opinion, the title race for this season isn't over. And Chelsea are also still in the Champions League, btw.

PS. Where did I mention Cech?

Lampard was brilliant that year under Ranieri, many would have said he was the best central midfielder in the Premier League that season. Many also said Terry was the best central defender that season. I don't listen to the player awards, Cannavaro was named world player of the year a few months ago!

Chelsea are about to lose the title to a team which plays better football under a better manager. Mourinho is a very good manager but he isn't a world class manager.

Therefore neither was Keegan, he's clearly shite.

  5. If it meant getting rid of the board and all the other wasters at our club, not to mention some of the fans.

Why spend even 15 seconds of your life typing that though.  I'm making a genuine point, what you think about me is irrelevant to NUFC.

Oh I see, "WE'RE THE TOON YOU FUCKIN JOCK SMB c***"  was incisive, witty and relevant.

  7. I wonder what sort of fans he wants rid of? And how many, relegation and 20,000 empty seats every match would certainly cause some sort of change...

The moaning gits who no matter what, piss and moan, and a few of the half arsed lot, to swap them for more bairns, families and people who would love to go, but can't afford to or can't get an ST because not many are up for grabs. Although there could be a few up for grabs come renewal time, so that could give these people an opportunity.

I'm not much for moaning, and dislike the whole booing (though days like today can understand it), like it or not though, these are the people who go, and there's not loads of people waiting for season tickets. Yes it's a shame it's so expensive, but I don't see that changing.

  8. Remember it's only a game boys and girls...

Is that what FF would say when we get relegated?

Add something like 'we're still one of the biggest clubs in the world' and you're there.

Some time since I've seen so many leaving before full time, including people who I know never do. Still, shit game and pretty nippy.

  9. For what it's worth I look there, it's an easy place to find bite-sized news. I'm sure they're old enough to take a little criticism though, I could be wrong.

  10. If they're going to be up themselves they deserve to be told so, even if their travelling buddies get upset.

and if you don't like opinions on a messageboard...don't read it perhaps. Sorry, that only applies to nufc.com eh?

Of course they're entitled to their opinions, and if they stick them on their website they're fair game for criticism.

    So which one is Niall?
