Squad rotation and injury management issues aside, I wouldn't swap Howe for any manager in the world. When we play our game to the best of our ability, there's very few teams at our level that plays as enjoyable/exciting football as us imo. If we we can add players of better quality but same mentality to the squad, I think we will start winning stuff in the near future under Howe. Added bonus that Howe is a great person. He's shown growth in his approach here from Bournemouth. I have confidence that we will end the season strong and that he can learn from his mistakes this season going into next season.

He's been playing with injuries a lot this season and rushed back early every time he's been out, so not surprised if this is it for him for this season. Remember how average he was start of the season when he clearly wasn't 100%, at the expense of a fit Anderson who came back to pre-season as the fittest player in the squad and had a great pre-season? Can't really blame anyone other than Howe (no that does not mean I want him out before the white knights come calling). He needs to learn to trust and use his squad more (and early) next season.

We had some absolute honking back fours in that period. Add David Edgar, Craig Moore, Oguchi Onyewu, Celestine Babayaro, David Rozehnal, Caçapa and Lamine Diatta to the list.

Speak for yourself He didn't have any problems with our fans, but the ambition of the club under Ashley. Best left back we've had in my life time. Was gutted when he went, but fully support his decision.

So glad that the cries for De Gea has gone more or less silent now. Having back-up keepers is literally pointless if we can't rely on one with the quality of Dubs.

While we can't do that right now, I do think we'd have won yesterday if we could put on just two of Wilson, Barnes, Murhpy, Joelinton, Willock, Tonali or Livramento while we were still at 2-1.

But they won't see it as a worthless money sink just 1 year into their project. Maybe in a couple of years if they see no improvement/interest in their league, but not this early.

Was like he was at deaths door for the foul on Rodri outside our box. So tired his legs just collapsed underneath him and he fell into Rodri rather than trying to tackle the ball. Farcial that he stayed on the whole game. Literally any person on our bench would have done better past the 60 minute mark.

I get the point, and agree to some degree, but surely even Gillespie would have done better than Longstaff past the 60 minute mark? He was toast. Couldnt run, reaction time like an 80 year old, was so tired he fell over instead of tackling.

Howe ffs it HAS to be better to have fresh legs from poorer players on the pitch than players who aren't able to run anymore.
