Should keep him to August 2025 at the very least so he can get a testimonial. Then go back to Nottingham Forest and help them escape relegation or gain promotion depending on how their next few seasons pans out.

Anderson - Miley - Longstaff Solid midfield trio, all offer something different to the team.
-
Unless we're planning on trying out a midfield or forward trio of Karius, Dubravka and Gillespie the majority of the players will play close to full 90 mins against PSG & Man Utd.

Ah yes, the famously care free, frivolous spending, rich demographic of students. Fucking hate those privileged cock suckers.

Jacob Murphy loves a bit of

Think he was pissed off at his earlier miss, hence the ruthless aggression finish and violent relief when the ball went in. Despite the mistake from Thiago it was a good goal. Joelinton had chased and harassed three different ball carriers to win it in the end.

Joelintons finishing > Sons finishing

His solo run and shot was highlight of the match for me. Burst out laughing. It's unreal how good he is.

Could just keep our formation and play Hall - Schar - Livramento
-
Would be nice with ex. Koopmeiners if we were to qualify for play-offs in CL or EL, but if we don't then Miley has shown he can step up seamlessly. Longstaff & Anderson are back soon too. It's just the immediate period before the transfer window opens that will be nerve wrecking as we're on bare bones if one more central midfielder gets injured.

ova the moon thank you

Reet Howe, time to hoy the young'uns on
-
Lascelles and Joelinton are shit and needs to be sold.
-
I'm genuinely just laughing at it at this point. Who was it pre-match that called the Lascelles goal today?
-
Crap. If it had gone a bit lower Sanchez would have got his hand on it though.
-
So which one is it?
-
Didn't know Sterling was the goat at free kicks. Shame. Regroup and go again.
-
Fucking hell Gordon & Joelinton don't do this to us. Just pretend like you're fine until after the game so we don't have to see this.
-
fluffing hekk it's match day again
-
Gordon is much better up top for the pressing. Don't know why Joelinton don't seem capable at it up top considering how much of a monster he is from midfield. ------Gordon------ Joelinton----Almiron Willock-Bruno-whomever is fit (swap position with Bruno if it is Miley) Hall-schar-Lascelles-Trippier/Livramento -------Pope-------- Joelinton and Willock to cover and swap positions as they feel like. Edit: Trippier for Hall if he can't play against Chelsea. Livramento at RB

If Howe wants someone, I'm onboard (even if I were to voice questions/concerns about the player on here) with it. I would assume that Pope was a signing for the medium term, and if someone were to replace him I'd hope it would be a transformational player much like Botman, Bruno & Isak. I don't think Ramsdale is that player, but happy for Howe to prove me wrong if that was the case. At least I wouldn't have a minor heart attack every time the ball is played back to the keeper when the nearest opponent is 30m away.

Looking back it's actually pretty insane how much football we played when young. Basically every break time at school, as much as we could convince the teacher to in gymnastics, every day after school incl. 1 sometimes 2 days of youth team practice and one youth team game, and every so often during the weekends unless you had other plans. Still 99% of us were miles and miles away from being considered genuine talents. Goes to show how narrow the eye of the needle is to make it to the top.

Was really good in the beginning around age 5-7. Played as a libero and scored quite a few goals. Highlight being limiting an opponent to 2 goals while playing in front of a keeper who had brought his TMNT backpack and spent the entire match playing fighting against imaginary foot clans, and scoring the equalizing goal from midfield at the end of the game. Got stuck at RB from age 13-16 when we started playing 11-a-side which is always a bad sign though so I had a very early peak. Retired at 16.

You get no arguments from me on those points, but his contract isn't up until another 4 years as it stands. My main point was I don't see the reason why we would extend that duration to 5. He'll be 34 when the new contract is up. Why would the club want to carry those improved wages for another season when we (hopefully) are in a position where he will be nowehere near even being on the bench? By that time you'd hope we can also start harvesting the fruits of an improve youth setup as well so we aren't in danger of not meeting any kind of quotas for competitions.

Would have preferred if we just gave him a wage increase without extending his contract. He's done good lately, is a good character and bonus for being a boyhood fan so it would be the right thing to do and send a signal to all other players that if they improve they will be rewarded, but if he is even remotely close (like Ritchie is now) to getting into our team in 4+ years time, something has gone terribly wrong at some point between now and then like
