Bit early to cry about no pre-season plans? Not out of May yet. Doubt many teams have their plan ready, but any reason to whine is a good reason to whine these days I guess.

Eh? Are you serious? I'm happy for us to get good deals on reasonably-priced players, that doesn't contradict being happy to spend good money on someone class (if we are/were able). That stuff about instant administration is absolute bollocks and you know it. It's a bit early to be on the drink. I may be wrong but by the end of the summer I seem to remember you said that maintaining our principles and showing that we weren't a soft touch was more important than actually buying the players we needed. You said that we couldn't afford to pay the going rate for known players. How can that opinion possibly sit alongside being happy with spending £20m on a single player, and all the associated costs and implications? Why do you always make those small twists on other peoples opinions to suit your own? I don´t think he has ever said the club cannot pay the going rate for players, just that the club won´t spend more than they rate the player at, which is stating a fact, opposed to wanting the club to spend X amount of money on a good players, which is a wish.

Going to be interesting to see how Spurs cope in the league with the dreaded europa league to play as well.

People seem to forget what Ferguson did at St.Mirren and Aberdeen, which in my mind puts him comfortably as the best British manager of "recent" times.

Would be typically ironic for this club if Pardew is sacked and we get a manager who is more suited for our players, with Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Colo leaving so the new manager is suddenly left with players more suited for Pardews style.

The term siege mentality. Probably just a passing pet hate due to the fact its being mentioned in 3 out of 4 posts these last few days.

Head aches when I think about this. No one really stands out. Santon for the first half of the season perhaps. Sissoko, Debuchy or Cisse for the second. Cisse has wasted a lot of good chances though due to various reasons (lack of concentration, desperation, selfishness, lack of composure), while Sissokos performances has dropped dramatically while Debuchy has been consistent albeit not "prepardure Sissoko"-good.
