I can see why he predicts that we will lose tbh. It´s getting more and more likely for each game that passes, and I´ve initially had us down to quite a few defeats myself this season. I do agree with the sentiment of the post, but come on Are we seriously starting to think that CL qualification is possible with a bit of luck? I've had worse predictions than Lawrenson this season, and I genuinly believe that we will slowly start to drop in the table sooner rather than later. I do think 6-7th is possible, but no way will we finish any higher.

He was great for us, I don´t have any ill feelings towards him, but I as many others have doubts about him in the current team. I reckon he would look much like he currently does at Liverpool the way we play now, and although he would be an excellent choice up top when we are struggling to dictate the play I would not have him back for anything over £10m. Kanji: £17.9m is quite a fee for a squad player.

The squad is big enough imo, but there are a few fringe players who needs to be replaced with better quality. If we sold/didn't renew contract/threw away Perch, Smith, Løvenkrands & Xisco and got in f.ex. Cissokho/Pieter/M'Bengue, Barnetta & Maiga I'd be pretty confident that the squad was strong enough to get results even with some key players injured. If we qualified for european competition we'd need a few extra bodies in though to ease the work load through a hectic schedule, but for a schedule consisting only of domestic competitions there really isn't need for much more than what we already have. There could also be negative implications with a big squad as there would be many frustrated players who couldn't get into the team, thus potentially ruin the good squad harmony we currently have.
