I think it's based on unconfirmed reports of Gordons head being turned when the club may or may not have tried to arrange a transfer for him to Liverpool before the PSR deadline stuff, which provided legs for the body language experts to run with when Gordon didn't put in a typical shift like we know he can in the two first games. We also got the "something feels off" crowd that bases that feeling on nothing but their own dissapointment in the transfer window and a couple of sub par performances. Really don't get all the frustration. We're out of Europe, and managed to strengthen the squad while keeping our best players. Any other club bar the "top 6" in this situation probably ends up with a less talented squad than the season before due to having to scale down.

Why is it so difficult to believe that? Before the takeover, Ryan Fraser was one of our highest earners because he came on a free transfer. Fucking Cack Jogback was allegedly on £50k a week here. We've not been able to shift any of the pre-takeover free transfer players like them on our books because their wages are so high that the clubs that would be interested in them have no chance of matching their wages, so they prefer to stay here until their contract runs out. I'd be surprised if he was on less than £150k a week.
