  1. Means fuck all though, doesn't it? At Yoro's age, Branthwaite had just finished his first season in league 2 for fucking Carlisle, featuring in a grand total of 9 games Yoro on the other hand has just played a full season in Ligue 1, helping Lille to CL qualification.
  2. That's not progress. They hired Gareth Southgate as manager Honestly, it's a bit insulting.
  3. Probably the worst dicussion on this forum at the moment, and that says something. If you are truly worried that the FA would be able to get Howe, or that Howe would even consider it, your brain is objectively speaking fucking broken, maybe beyond repair, from years of eating shit as a NUFC fan. This thread should be dead with the exception of the occasional "he's class isn't he"-post up until the season starts.
  4. Gareth Woke Safegate will continue to be England manager as long as he wants if he keeps getting you to finals no matter how uninspiring and boring it is. Unfortunately. For you. Can always pray for a disasterous start to the season for Ten Hag and Jimmy offering him money he simply can't turn down at Man Utd.
  5. Has Saka ever played an overlapping fullback through instead of cutting in hoping that the overlap takes a man off him?
  6. That video was exactly what I needed after 1.5 days of a big wall of commentators and news outlets having their say on the Trump assasination attempt in my feed. So excited for this season.
  7. We only got 35m for Anderson because we bought Vlachodimos for 12-13m.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Paul Mitchell brought him to Monaco in 2020. Maybe we should just hijack him instead of Thiaw. 1.94m tall crazy serb > 1.94m tall mellow german
  9. She's not explicitly talking about PCP here though.
  10. We've got Paul Mitchell now as sporting director, Brad Miller joined end of March as COO while Darren Eales CEO and Peter Silverstone CCO has already been here for a while. At some point, for somoene like Stavely you've got to wonder what is left for her to do I think this was always on the cards, only that she took particular interest in this project compared to other aquisitions she's managed. I hope she continues to support us and get to go to the odd game. Will forever be one of if not the most important person to help rid us of Ashleys shackles.
  11. If the tournament had started today, I'd say England deserves to be in the final.
  12. Dare I say it, that England seems to be playing fairly decent football?
  13. Nice. If Holland can get another goal in the next few minutes it might force Southgate to try and win the game before the 85th minute for a change.
  14. Just don't click on "Other clubs' transfers", "Manchester United" and future match threads when we play Man Utd and you should be sorted
  15. As he says in his post, investment isn't income/revenue. Think of it more as a loan, only that we don't have to repay or pay interests on it.
  16. It's easy to be clever in hindsight, but this one in particular @Froggy ouch You got a fair bit of bites though which may have been the main objective with the post at the time tbf.
  17. I'd like to keep Trippier for the coming season too, primarily as a rotation option for Livramento. Don't agree that we should keep him due to lack of experience in the squad though. We have one of the oldest squads in the league. Only "beaten" by West Ham and Fulham. This is from an article posted 26th March: https://theanalyst.com/2024/03/oldest-and-youngest-premier-league-teams-2023-24/
  18. Offering the exact amount a selling club is asking for isn't exactly the way you'd want your own club to handle transfers either though, is it? They started at 40+5 (?) and have upped it to 45+5(?). If Man Utd are intent on getting him, I imagine they'll get him in the end for 55/60.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Similar situation here. If the joined date on my profile is correct, I'll have been on here for more than half of my life in 2 years, which is also when I turn 40 Guess that's part of the appeal to this place that there are many in the same boat rather than discussing Newcastle/football/life with fedora tipping redditors or randoms/bots on twitter. I find myself caring a lot less about transfers now than before too, but I think a big part of it is that I have much more faith in the people at the club doing the right thing.
  20. There's no way Forest pays 35m for Anderson unless we overpay for their player so you shouldn't be shocked at all.
  21. Overrated on the back of a decent end to the season playing for a team in great form. If it was between him and Minteh I'd easily take a chance on Minteh ending up being the better player. Good luck in Germany.
  22. Maybe I'll tune in for the penalties in the semi final in their next game.
