He has chosen to represent the Netherlands and has 2 senior caps for the Netherlands. His father is Togolese. His mother is Nigerian.

What?! I'm commenting on what has been mentioned in an article I posted. Your refuting it based on your feelings I guess, which was just very strange

I'm going off the report in the article I posted. Unless you work for Chelsea I have no idea why you'd state this so matter of factly

He's very Eddie Howe. He's big (6 foot 5), fast (Top speed of 37.72 km/h - faster than Osula and Haaland have registered) and is an active presser. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/player-analysis/emmanuel-emegha-scout-report-strasbourg-2025-2026-analysis-tactics

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Chelsea apparently need to make some sales this summer to get some money in, especially as they will be missing out on the Champions League. As I mentioned they are also looking at bringing in another striker this summer already to add to Joao Pedro and Delap. On top of that in Emegha's absence this season another young striker has had a storming season at Strasbourg, Joaquín Panichelli, and so he'll likely be starting for them going forward as Chelsea are also keeping an eye on him now for a future transfer. Looks like there will be an opportunity to go for Emegha because of how all these situations have played out.

We were linked with Balogun recently. https://www.jeunesfooteux.com/AS-Monaco-un-chouchou-de-Pocognoli-convoite-par-Newcastle_a79623.html There's been an update around what might happen with him this summer. Folarin Balogun wants to return to England. Monaco, who bought Folarin Balogun from Arsenal for 30 million euros in the summer of 2023, expects to make a significant profit. The outcome of this transfer is expected to be decided after the World Cup, as players' values may change depending on their performances in the competition. No club is expected to take action before the end of the season, though they are likely to further their interest soon after.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

There's now reports that Delap wants to stay at Chelsea and they are looking to keep him, and Joao Pedro has also now established himself as the main man upfront there. They are also apparently looking at getting a new striker in, and if they land Xabi Alonso, I think it's very likely this striker will be Gonzalo Garcia who they've had links to, and who Alonso rated at Real and gave his debut and lots of minutes. Nicholas Jackson will be on his way out, but I can't see us looking at him, especially as Chelsea are looking for a decent amount of money, and it's currently looking more likely he'll be on his way to Saudi. The guy that's not been spoken about much recently, that's due to arrive at Chelsea this summer also, having done a deal for him last season, is Emanuel Emegha. Apparently, he was high on our list last summer to replace Isak, coming off a really good season at Strasbourg, but the deal never really got off the ground due to the Blueco foolishness with Chelsea, who then signed him instead and kept him at Strasbourg. He's since had a stop start season with injuries and hasn't played as much, and Chelsea are now reportedly looking to sell him instead this summer along with Jackson to improve their finances, and cover the new striker signing they'll be making. I wonder if he'll still be on Newcastle's list, and whether we might look at him again this summer. https://www.jeunesfooteux.com/Du-RC-Strasbourg-a-Chelsea-un-avenir-deja-incertain-pour-Emegha_a80059.html
  8. The guy was actually considered for the DOF role at one point and has a ton of experience, and he was just seemingly pushed to the background. Last summer was a disgrace man. Only God knows what is coming this summer. Another approach like the last one and the club will find itself in a position it will struggle to recover from anytime soon.

I really like Ramos but this fee is disgusting. No one is paying that for him. They've messed him around and hardly used him this past season for goodness sake and he'll have two years left on his deal this summer.

Never mind that he isn't that good to command that fee, but he's so injury prone! This nonsense has to stop this summer.

Those in pursuit believe he might be prised away for less than £60million.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fair enough Me, I'm worried. My gut instinct was that I could see it happen. He's put up decent numbers this season all things considered, he was at Howe with Bournemouth previously and he'll probably be very gettable at a low fee once they're relegated. Would be such a safe, low upside signing that would be justified with the old Prem experience tag. Not to take anything away from the guy, because I haven't really paid enough attention to him.

    Harvey Barnes

He can finish, he can shoot and he can cross. The issue is he isn't capable of creating the space himself to do any. A link up striker or someone playing in between the lines off the striker for him to combine with would help him a lot. Yet another player the current 4-3-3 team setup does not suit. But yet it still persists.
  16. I understand, but that's what made them all the more impressive, as they were with his weak foot. He always controls and runs with the ball on his right foot.

    Harvey Barnes

Shame he didn't start the match yesterday. Would have been far more interesting to see him start on the right instead of Murphy. Think his style of game would have fit nicely with Woltemade. He needs someone he can combine with to then get a return pass in behind when he makes his forward runs. A number 10 or second striker that stays high up the pitch just behind the striker would offer him more opportunities to combine with so he doesn't always have to try and beat a man one on one which he isn't good at.
  18. Saw this mentioned in the match thread. Was more surprised that anyone thought he was left footed! He always dribbles the ball with his right foot.
  19. Agree, Woltemade has to get a run the rest of the season to see if he can improve and to get an idea of it's worth persisting with him in the shape the team started with yesterday. We should already know this by now, as he should have been given more opportunities in this sort of setup, and it's somewhat farcical that it's only happening now with three games left in the season. However, once he is then substituted, just slot Ramsey in there and stop with the damned 4-3-3.
  20. With as much as you can get away with in the box on corners, one of the dumbest things you can do is put your whole arm across the goalkeeper's neck and keep it there. Don't even think he needed to do that. Todibo's sly pulling of his shirt from behind would have sufficed, and likely would have been missed by VAR. It was dumb from Pablo.
  21. To all of the footballing world now, yeah
  22. Been saying it all season. It's Tonali at the base of that midfield 3 that's throwing everything off, when the team has the ball and when they don't. Couldn't believe the difference having him and Bruno in the double pivot had yesterday. That's the most convinced of Tonali I've been in over a year. I'm somewhat upset with Woltemade for not having more of an impact yesterday, although I understand he needs more time having not been given more opportunities in that role earlier in the season, but it might now mean we don't see more of that setup going forward. If Ramsey had started in that position instead of Woltemade I think we would have destroyed Forest that first half.
  23. KaKa

    Lewis Hall

It's absolutely ridiculous that he's still being shoehorned into that position.
  24. Bayern Munich would prefer a fee of around 70 million euros for Anthony Gordon, preferably to be paid in installments. According to Bild, a deal is impossible if Newcastle insists on their high asking price or refuses installment payments.
  25. It needed a shakeup in personnel and not the shape. The shape was fine and we had much better control of the game and a better defensive structure with it int he first half.
