    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Will depend on how highly we rate him I imagine. We've tracked him for forever it feels like. How much do you reckon he's on at Juve and how much do you think they'd be after considering he hasn't settled in well there? I've seen reports he'll be available on loan initially with an option or obligation, or a fee of 30 million euros outright, but hard to be certain till any bids start going in. Wages seem to be reported as anywhere from £150,000 to £180,000 a week.

Jonathan David to replace Wissa? https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive-tj/tj-offerta-a-sorpresa-per-un-flop-della-stagione-779602 Thought he made a terrible decision joining Juve last season. Never really saw that working out. We've seemingly followed him ever since even the takeover days and were in contention to get him as a free agent, and probably would have if we had made an earlier call on moving Isak, and so not surprised to see this link pop up.
  3. Don't even waste your time man
  4. Well hopefully these clubs aren't taking the Newcastle fans opinions into account or we may struggle to see even £30 million
  5. I'm just not buying that Diaz was less productive at Liverpool because everything was built around Salah. No chance. He often got himself into great positions and was very hit and miss. Seems like a bit of a cop out to try and minimise the fact that Gordon has been more productive in the Prem, despite playing in a lesser team.
  6. Disagree completely. Mane seemed to do just fine playing in the same system and the same position and was far more productive, before Diaz then took over. Diaz at Liverpool had a reputation for being very hit and miss when in great positions as he was very inconsistent.
  7. Diaz looks better on the eye because of some of the mazy runs he goes on but his decision making can be poor and he can be just as inconsistent in front of goal. His numbers at Liverpool, who were a better team than Newcastle have been, were not as good as Gordon's. In that Bayern team, where a lot of other players attract a ton of attention, he has been able to thrive. Pretty sure we'll see similar with Gordon.
  8. Yeah, we absolutely have to sell at this point because it's an impossible uphill battle for him at Newcastle now. I agree regarding mentality, but more in the sense that Gordon just doesn't have the mindset to be the main man in a team, which is ultimately the position he has increasingly found himself in at Newcastle. In a team with a number of really good players around him, where he can have a specific role and where his strengths can be exploited, he'll look a lot better.
  9. Yeah, and they'll benefit too by better exploiting all his strengths. Lets send Murphy over there and see if he'll look better than he did for us because he's playing with the best players at one of the best clubs, or if he'll actually look worse because he'll be so out of his depth
  10. Do think people will be quite surprised at how much better he'll look in a team that actually has more attacking patterns that are drilled, with more players around him that can actually pass the ball, and where he doesn't have to come all the way back into his half all the time during build up because the midfield can't get a hold of or control a game.
  11. And Gordon is infinitely better when the team doesn't have the ball, which is likely why they're looking at him instead. I think a lot of teams have looked at what PSG has been able to do with someone like Dembele in place of Mbappe up top for them, and the impact that has had. Nowhere near the natural ability, but does all the running and defensive work required for the team.
  12. Yeah, it's quite funny seeing the reaction now these sorts of clubs are after him, after all the heat he's received on here
  13. We were told openly that there was money to spend in January and scope to move summer signings forward if the right player was available. This quote regarding Rayan seems like some made up revisionist bull crap and it's really annoying.
  14. He's nothing like Ben Arfa. Looks a good talent though.
  15. Wan-Bissaka is going to be 29 this year and has zero upside, which isn't ideal because he is absolutely tragic going forward anywhere past the half way line. Rotating Tino with someone even worse than he is getting forward down that right side, would be some going.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

After head coach Eddie Howe made a public warning that United must hit the ground running this summer, he went away for a short break after Sunday's defeat at Fulham, safe in the knowledge that an important gathering of the club's transfer team had already been around the table to discuss new signings. Chronicle Live understands that sporting director Ross Wilson took the lead in the meeting and key figures such as head of recruitment Steve Nickson, Senior Football Executive Andy Howe and the club's senior scouts were all in place. The meeting is understood to have taken place on Tyneside last week, just days before the final day defeat to Fulham, with Toon boss Howe delegating the task of whittling down the short-list to former Rangers supremo Wilson. Newcastle's talent spotters from across Europe also jetted in to discuss targets as Newcastle finalised their short-list. It is expected that head coach Howe wants a right-back, centre-midfielder, winger and goalkeeper as primary targets, but improving the squad overall is the main aim for the Magpies this summer. The ex-AFC Bournemouth chief will not be able to lean into any extra funding anticipated from Europe this summer, and the reality is Newcastle have to sell to buy. There were two budget pots discussed at Newcastle, with CEO David Hopkinson saying in March: "We have two directions of planning. Two scenarios with a multitude of strategies that follow either scenario."
  17. The state of that picture man. Classless git.
  18. Yes, and into next season too

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's been on loan at Stuttgart as their number 1 the last two seasons I think. Just never got in at Bayern as Neuer is still entrenched there and is expected to stay in still. Think Nubel is supposed to be really good if I recall correctly.

Nubel is rated highly right? If we sign that young French goalie, getting an experienced one as well would be a good approach. Don't think it should be Pope in that position next season.
  21. Yeah, noticed that too. Got into some great positions in the box, but the delivery never came. Think Willock was trying to get his move to Fulham in the summer the goof.

Yeah, they usually pull the news from some source, so just shared where it likely originated from.

Tall attacking midfielder that can play as a number 10 or a number 8. Would be a decent alternative just off a striker if they stick with the 4-2-3-1 setup.
