Don't think it's anything to do with playing for them. Bent's been unlucky that the times he's played for England, he's had no service. Heskey and Rooney play well together and that's the only reason why Heskey's on that plane.

I'm pretty sure that if Boyd made himself available, that he would be infront of Fletcher. However, they are two different kind of players. Kenny Miller is the main striker with McFadden off him. You couldn't have Boyd up front by himself, cos he's a lazy bugger. However, you could probably have Fletcher up by himself. I suspect that 'NUFC' is sticking up for English football. It also has an impact on NUFC, as they were hoping to host in the World Cup too.

If it goes through, we'll have Carroll, Shola, Lovenkrands, Boyd, Best, Ranger (if he doesn't go out on loan). I'd love for Hughton to get rid of Best. If he can't score for us in the Championship, he'll struggle even more in the PL.

Thing is, if he flops it's likely to cost us our Premiership status. One player will not cost us our Premier Leage status, it will take a whole team effort. Hes not my first choice striker as I think we need someone a wee bit nippier, but he has proven where he has played he can be prolific. The only reason he is leaving Ranger is because they cannot afford him, as they have a lot of players on their books. He is one of the Rangers players who has been held in high self esteem and like them when he moves on, whoever it is, I hope he can just be as good as them.
