Was the last decent result at Anfield, when Lee Bowyer scored in the 1-1 draw about 6 years ago?

I went to about 4 home games at the Lane last season, and went to 2 this season. I simply can't afford it. I love Spurs but i've got to prioritise on other things for now. Just out of interest, what are the prices like for home fans. I've always wanted to go to WHL, but I've found prices are akin to Chelsea's and nearer to the £50 mark, which I think it's daft considering you're not a 'big 4' team.

They won't get into Europe as they went into administration - they're trying to get it over turned though. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8558580.stm

Really? I spent 6 years of my life in Liverpool (1999 - 2005) and the majority of Liverpool fans (a) were deluded (b) held no affection for Newcastle. There were more than a few occassions when I didn't feel safe walking around in a Newcastle Shirt Maybe it was because we were better back then? I work in Liverpool and live over in the Wirral and have had no problems at all with Liverpool fans or blues for that matter. I don't feel threatened at all walking in my Newcastle top and have been to watch football games on my tod in the pub, with no hint of any problems either. My pals are generally apathetic towards Newcastle, but like to have a good laugh at our off-pitch antics and the cliched 'best supporters in the world' that seems to stick with us. It could different if we were challenging up there (I moved here during the Souness era), but I honestly think Scousers are generally a good bunch.

New strip for next season.

He'd probably invite Jenas and Dyer back, so they can do the smoking gun celebration when Shola scores with a misplaced bounce off his shin.

50+k all singing the Ameobi song

Isn't he due one soon? Even though he's been gash for a large part of his career, I'm sure he's brought a smile to everyone's lives at some point. I'll be there to show my appreciation.

I'd rather come 1st than 2nd, especially since we've been top for most of the season. And yes, you do get a cup.

Darren Bent does a running on the spot for a couple of seconds before he runs to take a pen. It's like watching a cartoon character run away.

If you're referring to George Burley, then that would have been when he took Ipswich to 5th the season after promotion. Imagine if Hughton did that

The FIFA rankings are a load of rubbish though. You usually see that Mexico and the US up in the 10s all of the time. Anyhow, IIRC Switzerland came last in the group. We (Scotland) won 1-0 against them with a superb Ally McCoist volley at Villa Park. We also lost 2-0, thanks to 'that goal' that Gazza scored.

I can't believe Fulham are still in this competition. Hope they get to the finals and beat Liverpool.

] What were the odds on Zamora and Cordozo? Didn't put any money on tonight - just as well, as I would have gone for Benfica & Wolfsburg double.

Burnley's new one from Puma - wonder if we will have the same collar/style http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/burnley-10-11-puma-home-kit.jpg

£2.50 on Paul Casey e/w Might fancy a few quid on a ridicously overpriced Benfica.

Lay is when you're offering the bet to the market - playing the role of the bookie, if you like. Therefore, it wasn't 0-0, so you win the bet. Downside of this, that if it was 0-0, then it would wipe out a huge load of your money in one go.

Good article that - especially when you compare what he's spent compared to what Moyes has got at his disposal. Found this googling http://www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=750042 FIRST SEASON 2006/2007 In Stiliyan Petrov Celtic £6.5m Didier Agathe Celtic Free Chris Sutton Celtic Free Phil Bardsley Manchester United Loan Gabor Kiraly Crystal Palace Loan John Carew Lyon Swap Ashley Young Watford £9.65m Shaun Maloney Celtic £1.1m SECOND SEASON 2007/2008 In Wayne Routledge Tottenham £1.5m Moustapha Salifou FC Wil Undisc. Curtis Davies West Brom Loan Zat Knight Fulham £3.5m Scott Carson Liverpool Loan Harry Forrester Watford £250 000 initial fee rising on appearances Eric Lichaj Unattached Free Marlon Harewood West Ham Undisc (region of £3.5m?) Nigel Reo-Coker West Ham £8.5m THIRD SEASON 2008/2009 In: Curtis Davies (WBA undisclosed but around £7.5million?) Steve Sidwell (Chelsea £5.5million) Brad Friedel (Blackburn, undisclosed but in the region of £2 - £2.5million) Brad Guzan (Chivas US, undisclosed, starts at around £800k up to £2m on appearances etc?) Nicky Shorey (Reading, around £4m?) Luke Young (Middlesbrough, around £5m?) Carlos Cuellar (Rangers £7.8million) James Milner (Newcastle, around £12million?) Arsenio Halfhuid from Excelsior (undisclosed) Emile Heskey from Wigan Athletic (£3.5m) Not sure if that 130million is correct (mental arithmetic says it's no, but i could be wrong) but nevertheless, some of those signings ie Sidwell, Reo-Coker, Heskey have been awful.

Danny Fox is a good shout, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't settle for back-up. Steven Fletcher is a decent striker, but I'm not sure if it's better than anything we've currently got. All the Evertonians down here, say that Hibbert's a liability - that's why Neville is preferred. 'Rabbit caught in the headlights' and 'hot potato' are phrases associated with Hibbert. Forest right back looked decent on Monday and if Forest don't go up, he might be tempted in hading a transfer request if we bid for him.

Yes it feels like this goal will perk up the ears of the top level teams. He seems to like it here and he's on alot of money. Who knows, we could be lucky. Depends what happens next season I think. He stuck with us through the this season instead of the likes of Habib Beye, who jumped at the first opportunity.

I think British managers will always prefer to play 442, as it's what we've grown up on. Ferguson, O'Neill, Bobby too. Harry would have played with 2 wingers if he managed to get Downing. Wenger was the first manager who really brought in non-conventional wingers in Pires and Ljungberg. Mourinho really put his stamp on the 451 (433) with Robben and Cole (SWP at times) on either side.

Did Richard Keys just say 'not for the faint hearted' when replaying the Rooney injury?"
-
Villa play with 2 up top, don't they? 2 from Agbonlahor, Carew and Heskey.
-
Man U DNB Cardiff Bordeaux DNB £2 = £20 return £3 Rooney first goal = £12 return Big bucks

Not sure, but it would be nice if Puma did a poll. A few clubs have started to do this and it would be great if we had a say.
