That's like the NUFC clubshop selling 'Ashley Out' banners and 'Get out of our club' on CD.

Nope - should get your stake back tho.

I say that March 29th should be named as 'Jose Day'.

From the .co.uk Nice one Jonas

If he, or any of the training staff for that matter, had any sense - Nolan would be on some sort of training schedule this summer to get in shape for the next season. He's a good influence and talker on the pitch - I just wish he could run for more than 20 mins.

Fantastic to see all the slide tackles being thrown about. And the amount of times Nolan threw himself in front of the ball was great. It was like watching a huge cow sliding along the grass.

What pub where ? In Birkenhead (Wirral, Merseyside)

Haha right on queue

I loved how all the players jumped on Jose when he scored. Shows you how much team spirit we have. Only Newcastle supporter in the pub - get it up you all who looked at me when I celebrated both goals

Newcastle v Notts Forest - 19:45 Monday 29/03/10 Pre-match thread.

Cos they're gutted they're not in the Premiership and not seen as a 'big club'. They still see themselves as a big club because they've won the European Cup. You speak to a Forest fan and that's what they always go on about. -
I don't think neither of us would be favourites. It's definitely too close to call. But as other said, it really depends on new signings. We've got a more creative midfield and overall better defence, but I would take Gordon, Hutton, Bent and possibly Turner off their hands. Other than that, we have better players in all other positions.

I actually hope Forest get second place. I can't stand West Brom. -
That collar looks crap from the front, but nice from the back with black and white stripes. Cantona-esque.

I would say yes but nonetheless the wages would be unreasonable. Zaragoza does want to get rid. Google says he's on €2.2m a year. That's... around 35k a week in pounds? About £38k, not a big wage at all, but wether he's actually worth it or not I don't know, probably not? I think Jermaine Pennant is exactly the kind of player we should be avoiding to be honest. Pretty much a wasted talent, the likes of which we've spent far too much money on in recent years. I'd say Wayne Routledge is a very similar story. Raw talent as a youngster but lost his way, perhaps through transferring at the wrong time? This. The guy's a complete prima donna who thinks he's better than what he is. Another ex-jailbird, another to avoid.

Clearly. Would be a total f***ing disaster. As long as nobody else winds Carroll up, we'll be alright

This, especially the bolded bit. We need a frank and brutal in-house assesment over the summer as to who is genuinely PL quality and who is not. Those that are not should be sold, and replaced with people who are. If we keep them as "backup", we run the risk of not signing replacements and ending up relying on them as first teamers. Ryan Taylor and Pancrate would be the first ones on my list. Not even good enough at this level.

To blame for a couple of the goals. We won 1-0. he knows. pointing out the silliness of the bold. harper had a decent game but his kicking was crap. On't radio they were speculating that Harper was told to kick first time. Just hoof it out, don't try to control. I dunno. even out of his hands it was poor. as if he found a cross wind that no one else could find. His goal kicks would find the oppositon too. He must share tips with Nicky Butt.

Lovenkrands won't give us that return back of course, he's in an inferior team with inferior players. However, I'd rather take Lovenkrands than Kuyt. He didn't do enough a couple of seasons ago, but that was a in a team full of overpaid misfits who didn't play as a team. Kuyt's been tried and tested upfront, but has been proven not to be good enough. If Wolves go down, I'd go for Kevin Doyle.
-
Our away record in the PL, has been sh** for a while. Win/Draw/Loss 09 - 2/6/11 08 - 3/5/11 07 - 4/3/12 06 - 6/2/11 05 - 3/7/9 04 - 2/12/5 03 - 6/4/9 02 - 9/5/5
-
You've missed Lovenkrands from your list - unless this was intentional? Kuyt's a hard worker, but he isn't good enough to be play upfront at Premiership level - that's why Rafa has shipped it out on the right. He's awful there too.
-
I don't think they know our squad the way that we do though. They probably think that Nolan is a box to box player and that Butt is a great defensive midfielder too. That's what my Scouse mates think anyway.

Seems so relaxed and confident on the ball last night. Well chuffed.
