Big Nick bar this season has always played in a 2 - so this is the first season he is playing as a 9. He is a better 9 for Germany currently due to the fact they play a high 4231 - he can’t really drop because Gnabry, Wirtz and Sane (Musiala etc) are right behind him, so there’s no space to drop into - in addition all those behind him score goals so there isn’t that additional pressure on him (caveat this with the fact Germany haven’t played anyone decent so can’t have an overall view just yet) With him at NUFC we don’t surround him and stop him from dropping - the wingers (on the right) don’t compliment his style and there’s too much space between midfield and CF as we don’t have a high advanced 8 I probably see him as a 10 currently which he plays really well tbh (just shoot a bit more please) - our summer business will dictate where he ends up? Do we/Can we sell both Wissa and Osula and buy 2 9s? Can we buy a RW that’s left footed?
