The dubious age thing is quite common over here.. There was this guy that played for Levski Sofia - Richard Eromoigbe - amazing player btw, he once said he has no idea what his true age is and it could be anything between 20 and 25. We had Garba Lawal and Justice Christopher for a while.. Lawal claimed he was 10 or so years younger and Justice was supposed to be 18, but spent the whole season injured. This winter CSKA Sofia brought some striker from a Norwegian club - Alausa, for a trial, he scored a bunch of goals in the friendlies and claimed he was 28.. he was about to sign a contract, but failed the medical tests, because the damage in his knees indicated that he's at least 40 years old. Also, there have been a couple of decent players - Niogu Demba-Nyren and Serje Iofu who just disappeared without a trace after playing a season for Levski.. Iofu was quite good and I think he became the topscorer in the bulgarian league before he disappeared.. he was later discovered in Switzerland, playing under a different name..

Its moments like this, where you read the interviews of Bramble and Faye, and truly realise what a pack of angry hounds we have for fans at times. He's had 3 managers, a new language, and a club that has held the stability of paper in the wind. But screw that he's £10m for £10m you buy the perfect defender who will slot into the back. Look at Skrtl, Agger, Vidic how long did they take to adapt to this league. Absolutely agree. imho, our first choice defence is at least top 6 quality so to speak. It's really obvious where the problems in the first team are. Hopefully at least one of the three managers is able to spot them. For all his tactical naivety Keegan figured that up pretty quickly last season.. any defence will strugle if they're under pressure the whole time. Anyway, as for the game, I have a weird feeling we'll go for it.. hopefully we get lucky or something because a win today can potentially save our season.

We're doomed, but I'm not that bothered.. The Championship is a nice league.. no multi-millionaire wankers, noisier grounds, competitive teams, fast football, real street people and all.. I'm sick of the bullshit 'bestest league eva' and the premier league superstardom anyway.. that's not what football is about. It'd be nice to participate in a league where money isn't everything. We'll probably get rid of inadequate Joe and all the overpaid crap and start afresh. I won't be able to watch every game, but fuck it.. at least we'll win from time to time... and Nile would score at least 248 goals at that level.
