This point would be more credible if we weren't actively and successfully competing on all fronts. Obviously the FA Cup hasn't really started, but we're in the LC semis, in the knockout stages of the CL (possibly good enough to bypass the next round) and 3 points off 4th place in the PL. What, pray tell, should we have sacrificed to achieve what better outcome? Can they quantify where we should have focussed, and for what better outcome? Or is it failure if we fail to win everything? No team does that. Or if we fail to win ANYTHING? Well we're literally the current LC holders. They'd have a point if we were 17th and out the cups, but as it is that post is a bit unhinged.

Yeah I'd feel dirty, but I'll rent my soul for millions, gladly. I'm not stupid.

Absolutely. Do we apply the same logic the other way? Should we detest Andy Cole, David Kelly and Lee Clark? What about Chris Waddle? Or is it ok provided you start at Newcastle? Loads of players have played for both. Yeah it annoys me when it's a good player or someone I like, but come on. If someone offered me £50k/week to pull on a red and white top I'd be there like a shot. FTM t-shirt too? Hell, for that money I'd get a fucking tattoo.

I don't hate him, nothing about his transfer was his fault per se, but I hated everything he represented about the club, its ambitions and direction. I hated seeing him in our strip because he was a constant reminder of what we'd become and that there was absolutely no hope.

Did Sir John Hall make a racist joke about Les Ferdinand ages ago?

It's funny because I always thought he was a fairly old man back in the early 90s but it turns out looking back he was just in his mid/late 50s. Would have had him at 70 easily then. -
Aren't there like 6 Miley brothers? Have we considered playing all of them?

Subs are only allowed after 67 minutes and you all know this.

My first match cost me £3, cash on the turnstiles.

We're obviously not seeing the same player that Forest fans saw, so that's good IMO. What it takes to get him back to that level is another matter, whether it's physical, mental, personal, a combination of all of that, who knows? But I trust the club to do the right thing and to get him back to where we want him to be. If we bought someone who just wasn't capable, I'd be worried, but I don't see that.

I don't actually mind it. Is it whoever runs the Twitter account's job to work out the formation? What if they get it wrong? They're media people, not football managers. Or should Eddie tell them the formation, running any possible element of surprise? Why tell the opposition what you're playing before they're out on the pitch? Keep the numerical team sheets IMO. I like them.

Rather that than North/South Hylton

This is looking grim, hanging on here and there's no way we can hang on for another half an hour. We've lost all intensity and desire to close down, we're just sitting back off them. On the bright side, we've just got to hang on for 7 more minutes before the regulation 3 subs.

Ramsdale infinitely better with the ball at his feet, but Pope is an actual goalkeeper rather than an outfield player with a green jersey on, so I'm happy Pope's back in.
-
I said we played great and looked threatening. We did. I didn't say he was great, though he contributed by at least grafting hard.
-
We managed to look threatening before Isak. We played great with Chris Wood up top ffs.

How does that saying go? "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result" Something like that, I think. Things need to change. Bafflingly, nothing is. Week on week. I love Eddie for all he's done, and he's still got a lot of credit in the bank, but I'm starting to lose my patience.
-
I suppose one way to stop dropping points from winning positions is to not get in a winning position in the first place. Does that count as progress?
-
It's not the players, it's the system and the formation. It just doesn't work, especially away from home. Doesn't matter who we put on, if we play the same way we'll get the same result.
-
We should renew his contract, be crazy not to. On his day he's excellent and it would cost a lot to get someone else as good in. Plus Schar and Burn are both getting on now so if Botman leaves that's 3 DCs we'd need.
-
Ramsdale is a good keeper if the opposition don't have any shots on target.
-
Reminds me of a fun quiz question... France's longest land border is with which other country?
-
Can we just take Ramsdale off and play with 10 please because he is an absolute waste of space.
