This kid caught my eye during both games over the weekend. His pace and skills are something that we have lacked in our team for a long time, I am worried that he does not fit the Pardew's model for a timid and tame NUFC though. Being an old fella I also like the fact he wears black boots..... I think they are Hypervenoms or something but, at least they are black!

Would be the best thing that could happen to him if he was.... wasted at NUFC under Pardew. Caveat - as are most of the squad....

Really good point, the whole Premier League experience is what is on offer to "casual fans". Come to Newcastle to watch Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd wipe the floor with the local team. People will turn up to see the stars who play for other teams leaving us fans very isolated and un-necessary.....

The way we are heading we will finish up 11th (if we are lucky) and none of them will receive their top 10 incentive.

Before I pay the payment can anyone on here confirm whether the final payment to cover the current season would need to have been made in February? I have had a call today saying that Jan was not the last payment and in fact Feb should have been and I need to pay it or my ticket will be blocked for the next home match.

I was pretty impressed with Cisse yesterday, apart form the unbelievable miss in front of goal. A couple of times his first touch was sublime... considering how little first team football he has had I think he did well. Do not think there is a good partnership to be had with Remy though, they are not on the same wavelength at all, DeJong and Remy - that is mouthwatering though!

I just had a reply to my cancellation letter saying that it is not possible to cancel as the window for cancellation ended on 31st January... I actually sent the email to them yesterday, 2nd Feb..

Just to answer the question about picking and choosing matches next season.... I think it is just lip service to myself to say I can still go to the match if I want to. I dont think I will go again until the ownership changes. But, you are all right paying for something I stopped enjoying some time ago, once it became clear that there is no ambition left at the club, is a total waste. The life has been sucked out of my club and I am heart broken about it.....

Me and my dad have decided this morning that we are cancelling today - we have been going since I was a kid - I am 48 now. Shame as I have a great seat with good people around me but, as many others have said I can pick and choose my games next season. I will be calling the box office tomorrow to let them know and will be cancelling the direct debit now.

The way the game was being refereed - to be fair - both teams were lucky to finish with 11 players on the field. Cabaye was sailing very close to a second booking and would have been off in any other game....... Same with Zabaleta and others...

You need to take a look at the Daily Mail take on the tackle, they are calling it an assault and using several photos from different angles claiming that Mapau made two separate contacts with Nasri's knee to ensure he was properly injured. Fucksake, they are country men, the last thing he would want is one of the key French players out of the world cup squad.... I think we are lucky that Jones was as card happy during the game and called the tackle a yellow at the time, if he had not "seen it" I think it would be safe to assume that we would be staring down the barrel of a lengthy ban to Mapau.... Trial by media opinion.....

We have seen it, more than once at St James', where a player is rolling around the floor in agony one second while he game continues around him, the ball breaks to said mortally wounded player and up he pops to re join the game. I can even think of at least one event when the "injured" player actually got up and scored a goal. Rooney wonder goal against us was a sort of example as he was whining to the ref about a tackle and the ball came to him - volley - back of the net wonder goal.... Injury simulation has become part of football because of the referees needing to see something tangible before they blow for a foul. This is why we see players fling themselves to the ground simply because a opponent has placed a hand on their shoulder! The whole thing is fucked in my opinion and anything that will help to stop cheating is worth a try....

In that thread about the indictments of SAFC that certain Randy Savage has been able to get his point across relating to his personal feelings surrounding the club that he supports very nicely. I think his use of language and overall tone was well done. What I need to know is how come when he came on this site he suffered a monumental meltdown second in gravitas only to that of Wearside / Masterplan The Jaw Wirer..... Seems to be a fairly stable and level headed poster on that RTG site.... Strange breed those mackems!

I just had 10 minutes going through their Pewer Football forum, my god there is some shit in there.... On one of the topics someone was going on about Poyet being the third manager to tell Short that the squad isnt good enough, what has he done about it? Nothing! Or words to that effect.... Jesus, he has backed every single manager with huge sums of money to improve he squad, it is hardly his fault that every manager has brought in similar shit to that shit they already had! It is no surprise that Short has appointed someone like Di Fanti to oversee what the manager are spending his cash on considering the waste they have brought in to date. Seriously, without big hearted, thick headed, Ellis Short they would be so far down the pan by now. All that would be left would be some fading skid marks......

There was a lad behind me that must have said "sign him up" 20 or 30 times during the game... every time one of the oldies did something half decent with the ball. Funny once then a bit cringy after that!
