The club are very smart but also generous running this ‘he’s been badly advised’ line through Craig Hope. Leaves enough leeway to allow players and fans to give him another chance. If he wants one.
Who said that?
What I mean is that the way we rejected the bid, and the small size of the bid, is pretty unusual. It doesn’t feel to me like a negotiation.
Of course I wish this was the case, so we’ll see.
This is what makes me feel like it’s over. It wasn’t just a ‘turn down the initial bid’, it was enough to make the papers/tweets and scare them off.
Could be wishful thinking obvs but I like the sound of the refusal.
Well I guess we can’t know, but that has to be the expectation. Actually the timing and nature of this shite bid is good for us. By end of next week this could be in the past.
The timing is good for us. Tell Liverpool to get fucked on Friday, he gets back to training and sees Eddie’s lovely face, new contract by this time next week.
It’s damaged but it’s no irreparable IMO. Fans have very short memories in general, if he commits and plays well we’ll cheer him. Maybe not the same as before but to a decent degree.
I understand very little about this whole saga, unless it was just initiated by Isak's agent and Liverpool have jumped in. The planning is non-existent.
