What I was getting at is, why does it reflect so badly on the window if we sign Wissa?

We really can't have it both ways though, can we? We can't seem to complete for players like Ekitike and Pedro because they're wanted by other clubs with more money. What would you do?

He’s a good striker IMO, especially given he can also run and play wide. Given his age and other options he might also be OK with rotation. We will see but I’d be relatively happy to get him. Not Ekitike levels of hype, but a good signing.

I always go for the cheapest sections like Leazes corner, can’t remember the price for these games there last year. Nearly £60 for a football match is a lot though, if I don’t win in the ballot I’d probably need a good transfer window and Isak firing to buy a general sale ticket.

He can play wide as well of course.

I personally like Wissa because he’s smart and has a nose for being in the right places to score. Not an exciting signing but it’s more the type of player I was expecting if we keep Isak. I’d definitely rather have Isak and Wissa than Ekitike and no Isak.

Depends on what you mean by enough. To solve all our problems, no. Decent relative to what we can expect, yes. Those names in particular are at the lower end of the market we've been shopping in obviously, the players matter more than the numbers.

I think 4 players of quality would be an excellent window, you can’t really expect much more than that. No club ever has nothing to complain about or no areas of weakness.

But aren’t Wolves and Forest OK with a lower level of player than we need? I imagine the club are thinking we need CL/title winning level players. Of course nobody can disagree that better would be better.

I might be wrong but it feels like the number of transfers overall has been quite small. Admittedly I don’t follow it that closely.

You're right but don't expect anyone to be this patient.

I think he's a really dangerous player but I haven't watched him enough to know if we should sign him. He's more like the level of player I expected to come while we still have Isak though.
