We really should be feeling the best about the club we've ever felt, or certainly since the Keegan years. If we are frustrated and annoyed now then we really don't have any chance to enjoy the experience of being a fan. I know the experience of a football fan is basically constant disappointment, wanting more and being annoyed, but it's a bit much sometimes.

I'm never bothered by any player that doesn't want to come here, I don't wish him failure either. It's part of the game, especially with ridiculous entities like Chelsea knocking about and warping the market.

When the manager came in he made a big deal of their squad being ridiculous and we would only work with about half the players. Guess he's been slapped down since then.

I'm not sure it's clear what the contract offer was TBH. Could have just been a discussion about his future out of respect for what he's done for us. I hope it wasn't that we really wanted to keep him because we think he's really valuable. We'd have to be very thick to believe that.

Ah OK, see what you're saying. I'm not sure I believe there are companies queuing up to sponsor our training ground or training kit mind. That's very low profile stuff. And I don't want a stadium sponsor if it means changing the name.

Have we? How do you mean, by turning down people who wanted to sponsor us?

I think we probably need almost half a new first team to challenge for the PL. Keeper, CB, RW and probably CM. Maybe others. That's keeping everyone fit as well, without considering squad depth too much. We probably need another 3 or 4 quality subs as well.

Guehi's not necessarily as good as VDV, not many people are. But I definitely think he's good enough to form part of a title-winning defence.

I agree, but we have done that with Isak, Bruno, Tonali, Botman and others. It’s not like we’ve only signed PL players.

Is it a failure every time a player goes somewhere apart from us? You would imagine good players often have options.

I think the money is so big now that this is inevitable. I mean, I would rather play football but if you’re talking generational wealth for me and my descendants and enough money to fund several charities then you can’t say no to it.

I wouldn’t be concerned at all until mid July at the earliest. The current mood is unhinged.

He’s not going to play RW at all IMO. Negates all his strengths.

It’s just that the badge is already a crest, seems mad to put it inside another shield. If there was such a thing as brand guidelines for our crest, that would definitely be a breach. Anyway, bothers some and not others, that’s design for you.

They also align themselves to absolutely dogshit journalists instead of fans. I listen when we win but would never go beyond that.
