If we go through and meet Atletico in the QF it will be a battle of the ages

Same. And this with Vurnon Anita:

Babe, wake up. New footie hipster buzzword just dropped.

Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)

End of an era. Good luck, Jam. Thanks for punching everyone. -
His biggest fault was having long hair when he broke through as everyone was likening him to Pirlo. Poor guy has been insisting for ages that he's more like Gattuso, but people insist on deadnaming him.

Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 31/1/26 @ 20:00 (TNT Sport)

Will be another crazy game. They'll smash us, we'll get back into it. They buckle under the pressure from us and we finally level. Then they score in the 97th minute, they celebrate like it's a cup final. Camera cuts to Isak grinning in the crowd. Slot is smug and shakes Howe's hand too long and too aggressively. Tindal has a scrap with some rando cunt set-piece coach. Clips of a cumming Carragher are in my feeds for a week or so. -
Quickly back to being one of our most important players.
-
He's having to adapt his game too. He is unstoppable when he's at full speed. When played through, he'll beat anyone and get a goal, assist or penalty. No surprise he plays well when we face team that actually attack us instead of sitting deep. Non of our wingers are particularly effective in this new probing possession style we're adopting.

Newcastle United 3-0 PSV Eindhoven (21/01/26) | post-match from pg. 39

Exactly - we did this all the time in 22/23. Teams had to be flawless against us as we were so effective at creating opportunities when they fucked up. Our attacking play was just being a bunch of rabid dogs on a leash. You slip and we punish you big time. -
Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

Especially after they nick Lewis Hall first -
Name change to "6'4 professional athlete" please

Ganthony Obertanga He's short in confidence because he's underperforming, but then again, we are a disjointed mess this season, transitioning away from the team that he would excel in. He would have tore teams to shreds playing for us a couple seasons ago. Pressing hard, countering, linking up with Isak etc. But nearly all our wingers are underperforming in this new system. Should have got him earlier, or moved on to a more suitable target.

Hasn't his wife just had a baby? Or is having one any minute? Could be stressed out (very woke, I know)

Newcastle United 4-3 Leeds United (07/02/26) | post-match from pg. 75

Why are we blasting "Freed from Desire" at the final whistle so many times this season? Reminds me of Isak every time. -
Maybe Scalvini finally joins?
-
His output isn't there at the moment, be he's doing a lot of work to enable Hall to shine in an attacking sense.

Leeds are playing like that want to stay up. The others below them can get to fuck -
Back on form these last games. Don't win without him.

We were all over them too. It absolutely killed our momentum. Think they scored shortly afterwards too.
