Would you say that if we had Beardsley fit and and available and Shola was doing ok? Best is playing well but lets not elevate him to something he isn't. Ben Arfa has to play. We need the quality Ben Arfa should provide and someone has to make way. Feel more uncomfortable sticking BA out wide and restricting his game.
-
Think he has to be sent to the bench for a few games. Santon for Raylor, Ben Arfa for Best and Marveaux for Obertan. Krul Simpson Colo Saylor Santon Cabaye Tiote Ben arfa Jonas Marveaux Ba The sooner Pardew gets to that team the better IMO.

Birmingham had a season where they didn't concede many, sure he was part of that. Not the worst player as backup to our current three CB's'. Can score a few too.

That would be assuming that level of investment is fixed, and not with an owner who is paying his own loan back to himself every season Wheres the link for this? Last I'd heard more money had been paid into the club, not taken out but a couple of posts have indicated the money is being taken out so I'd like to see where this has come from http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Accounts.jpg Means nowt that. Being repayable does not mean it was or will be.

It was fairly obvious from what he said that the contingency plan will only kick in if Jose goes. That doen't sound like our persuit of Taylor in the slightest. So why haven't we signed him yet? Wait and see, if Jose goes, this guy will all of a sudden be signed. Not negative, just getting wise to the way the club thinks these days.
-
Its so obvious that Taylor is the contingency for Jose. I know we don't want to believe it but deep know you know it is true.

Which youngster are you most excited about for the future?

Adam Campbell. Hoping to see him start to be on the bench over the next season or so. Hopefully. -
There was talk of a large deposit into the NUFC account from some solicitor or something around 2 weeks back. Hope its someone who knows how to make a proper decision.

Nothing like as much as the Corporation tax due on it if he doesn't either spend it or pay off some of the debt. No tax as the club has huge losses to offset.
-
If there was a Newcastle City then I'm sure we would get called "United" too. And if there was no Manchester City then Man United would get called Manchester, like we get called Newcastle. It's all very simple.
-
Seriously some of the crap on this thread is ridiculous.
-
Dear god, we have Wolves, West Brom and Birmingham to play at home.
-
We have so much loss being carried forward that we won't pay a penny tax at all on the caroll sale.
-
I think Villa have some stinkers left, Arsenal and Liverpool, 3 derbies, away at Everton, West Ham and us. If they can't avoid defeat at Home to Wolves they should be worried IMO. Agree about Wolves though, cany run in for them.
-
And villa.
-
and how on earth do you know? This is the same attitude that was shown 2 seasons ago. (And the players thought they were too good to go down as well, according to Saylor.) This season is nothing like that season. Not even close.
-
It just went negative today... And?
-
Win next week and we are there IMO. Even if we draw, we have more home games that are winnable. There's no panic yet.

How good does this look. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/premiership.html -
A strikers' value will always go up massively once people know they can score in the Premier League,Gyan never started a league game for us till November but still has 10 goals and that's not bad for a few months work in his first season. But you guys overpaid in the first instance so all that has happened is that he has justified his fee. No increase. Look at Hernandez at Man United for a player thats value will have increased. Gyan can be said may be worth his fee now but that is it. And you know Tiote will go for £20m, whether he is worth that or not that would be the fee we would get.
-
Gyans value has not gone up by 50% in the last 6 months. If we were to sell Tiote, I think we would get £20m easily. Palacios was £16m and Tiote is a much better player. I would be gutted if we got less than £20m. And Jose would cost around £13m+ were he to sign an extension. But please don't sell them for gods sake.

Me too. Depressingly. -
I actually do think this is worthy of a thread but since it probably wont make any difference anyway I'm not sure. Maybe a mod can move it if it does. Anyway, Plmouth Argyle are in a bit of a pickle and could go out of business, there's a petition online trying to raise awareness of the issue and get the shareholders to help stop the inevitable. http://www.gopetition.com/petition/42254/sign.html Baring in mind how gratious they were when we played them in the Championship and played ours songs over the tannoy when we gained promotion despite them going down the same day maybe we could all pop over and give them our support. Petitions are crap I know but even so. Great little club, we should all help to say thanks for that promotion party.
