I think Ben Arfa needs at least another season with us to prove that he can perform consistently over a whole season. If he does that, he will command a much bigger transfer fee that he would do now. If he does perform to his potential, he should be playing at one of the elite clubs so I wouldn't begrudge him such a move but I would like to have some more special memories from him playing for Newcastle before he does move on.

What has he said that you're not keen on? It's more the whole hype surrounding our scouting system... Which kind of goes against everything how it worked this year... Every time I listen to TS 5Live or Sky and NUFC is mentioned so is GC... I honestly think anyone on here or in the media would struggle to name the chief scouts from the other teams in the PL... Basically I feel all this crowing will make the selling clubs & agents just that little more smarter this summer... He's doing a great job but rather he wasn't seen nor heard... Just keep his head down and keep doing the great job he has so far... There is probably also the novelty factor of who his son is that helps increase his profile.

Want Hughton to do well which was very hard whilst he was at Birmingham as I loathe them so happy for him to go to Norwich.
-
That journalist Mick Dennis talking about Paul Lambert as a Norwich supporter, said that the fans could never guess what the team would be as he changed it every week as well as the tactics. I think he is going to be an excellent manager. It is good to see a new generation of managers emerging rather than the same old faces that are past their sell by date.

England are visiting Auschwitz and Schindler's factory.

I appreciate that he wants to play regularly but he did get to play a fair number of games each season. However, almost every time he got in to the team and had an opportunity for a decent run of games, he got injured.
-
Sounds like that. We are not going to publicise the get out clauses in his contract and suddenly the papers are aware that he has a 2 month window to negotiate a move. It seems like an agent's work to me and there are supposedly several working on his behalf.

Think Remy is out injured. Good on Ben Arfa. That's right. Remy has already withdrawn from the squad through injury.

Why is Gourcuff so unpopular?

Isn't Van Gaal quite a difficult person to deal with? Would imagine that he would prefer to be more hands on i.e. the manager rather than a DoF and that would cause conflict with the coach.
-
Interesting that his agent is Mark Curtis - same as Allardyce, Nolan and Carroll. Isn't Rob Green out of contract at West Ham this Summer and they are unsure what his plans are? It could be that if he leaves that Forster might end up moving to West Ham.
-
So do the Scousers rate Carroll now? Guess they will reckon they are guaranteed top 4 next season now. They should have played him from the start in the Final as he has always done well against Terry. I like to see him do well as long as his team continues to struggle.
-
Couldn't believe he didn't start for them. Has done the business for them in all their "big" games this season.

Wednesday fan on 606 liking Ranger a lot. Says he hopes they sign him permanently.

Carroll seems to have done well in all his games at Wembley to date.

Did Pardew say 9 inch gash? And 400 stitches!!!!

Jason Cundy on talkshite last night raving about the Toon....
Wallace replied to ExiledGeordie's topic in Football
He was absolutely gushing about us last night and said he had been criticial of us previously and not convinced about us this season but having seeing us in the flesh now, he was very very impressed. -
Excellent decision if they do Yep. Unless you're a Brum fan heading into the play-offs. Ouch. They interviewed Hughton for the job before they gave it to Hodgson.

FC Cologne confirm that Podolski is joining Arsenal.

Even if Villa stay up, will McLeish will still be there next season? A new manager might not want him.

Meyler is always tweeting provocative stuff about Newcastle. Mind you one of their ex players has been doing the same about the. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2134554/Liam-Noble-launches-Twitter-attack-Sunderland.html

They have said that you need to arrive 2 hours before games because of all the security procedures that will be in place.

Wonder if this is finally coming to fruition, albeit with the other Jackie statue. Would seem strange, Ashley and Shearer aren't on good terms are they? Only other possibility I can think of is Joe Harvey? Thought this was shelved when Ashley took over. Cost-cutting!
