So if Santon is really a right-back who can play at left-back, would it not make more sense to look for a left-back and move Santon to the right if Simpson does leave.

It will be interesting to see what happens in January as prices are always inflated and we will not pay for players that are overpriced.

If people are standing, I will stand and if they are sitting, I am happy to sit - mind you I have a few back problems so sometimes, I have to sit even when everyone else is standing. However, I do not understand that when concerts are held in football stadia why it is OK for everyone to stand for a couple of hours in the seating area when it is not OK for football matches. Surely the same council rules apply?

But didn't the FC Twente chairman also say that Newcastle never contacted them.

Radio Newcastle said prior to the Fulham match that contract negotiations had already started for both Colo and Jonas. Have we managed to agree a new contract for any "high" earners under Ashley? It seems to be only the youngsters and lower paid players who agree new contracts. It will be interesting to see what happens as I cannot imagine Colo getting the reported £80k a week elsewhere.

Looks like the Box Office has been taking payments out of my bank account for other people's tickets.

They said they moved it because of the cost of holding it at Darlington. And it was switched to KP weeks ago.

The Gallowgate roof only gets seen by those in the Leazes End - most TV cameras and photos don't capture it.

Must have remember that one from the Carroll deal.

The man is a joke. He must realise that he is constantly being fed lies by the hierarchy which means he is happy to be complicit in passing on their lies.

I guess it is true what was said at the weekend that "we have aspirations to be where Fulham are".

5 Live says he is going to Fulham.
-
Always thought he was a liability on the pitch.

Seeing as Graham Courtney was saying last week on Talksport that we would be signing Shane Long until the presenter pointed out that he had already signed for West Brom, I would take anything he says with a pinch of salt. Fuckin hell man 5 posts up Wasn't there when I started the post.
-
That's all we need. Bellamy is always extra motivated when he plays us and his pace will cause problems and we know what Barton will be like. A much harder game than it was this time last week.

You make it sound like we know what we are doing If these deals are anything to go by, you know exactly what you're doing. You run the risk of upsetting some posters Neil. Ashley and Co are c***s and there's no way past that, all these class signings must be some kind of accident or - ah got it.. they'll sell for more. I think you'll struggle to find anyone who is unhappy with the signings we've made. It's the gaping holes in the squad and lack of willing to push the club as far as possible that pisses people off. If we get a striker (and I think we will), not sure where the gaping hole is. i'll start you off, centre half Hardly gaping tbf. You don't think 2 fit CBs is gaping?! So we've had a gaping hole for less than a week then, somebody hit the panic button! Seriously though how many centre backs do we expect to have in a squad of an acceptable quality that will be happy to be just squad players? We've got Coloccini, Williamson, Taylor and Kadar which I think is enough, if the club don't think Kadar is good enough then get rid and get in a replacement but until then he should be given a chance. Not much point of having an academy if we're never going to have faith in them. It'd help if more than two in your list were available like. And alpal, to me it's a soon-to-be gaping hole. Don't think we can expect Taylor and Colo to play every single game and it sounds like Williamson could be out for a while. Quite a problem to me. Fair enough Jonny, I have no idea how bad Williamson's injury is. Has there been any confirmation from the club on how bad it is? I heard that he was out for 7 weeks.

Joe Cole talking to Lille about a loan deal.
-
As long as he has been bought in as back up and not because they plan to move Krul on as soon as they get a decent offer.
-
What a novel idea - finding a replacement first before selling a player.
-
Unusual there were no rumours of him being spotted at a local hotel last night.
-
SSN saying Stoke in talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Lukaku.

Steven Taylor on 5Live this evening was asked about how they celebrated the derby win. Said they all went to a restaurant in Jesmond (Louis) and put all their credit cards in a bowl or something and the last one out paid for everyone which was Obertan.

is there any other manager who bigs himself up more than Allerdyce horrible horrible man Well, he does have a *very* big head... I hate it when he signs a player and says the player has signed because he wants to play for him rather than the club.
