What riles me is the way the club shuts out the fans but because things are getting a bit sticky they start wheeling the players out saying they need the fans behind them and a few boos upsets them. Scarcely hear a word from the players otherwise. I don't get how the fans don't see how much they are being manipulated and "managed" by Pardew and the club. I cringe every time I hear or see a plea from the club that they need the fans onside. Why do they always seek positivity from the supporters when they only provide negativity themselves.
  2. That interview on Radio Newcastle really infuriated me when I heard it.

    Papiss Cissé

And if he had been fit in the Summer, they would have sold him.
  4. There would be an impact on TV money as its unlikely Sky or BT would pick our home games any more than the contractual minimum if the stadium was half empty. It would damage the image of the brand old chap. Also the Premier League would definitely not like to see an empty stadium as it would be damaging for the "brand" hence their recent initiatives to boost the falling numbers of away supporters. I don't expect they would or could do anything about it but they would definitely not be happy.
  5. Maybe a 3-3 draw wasn't so bad after all.

I don't think it is fair to judge the lad yet. We all know that some players take a long time to settle and he's come into a poor team lacking in confidence. We knew when we bought him that he was a support striker and that he tends to score goals in bunches and then go on long dry spells so he is obviously a confidence player. He is completely isolated in a new team with no support and as he is usually the only man up front, he is easy for the opposition to mark. I would like to see him playing with another striker whose presence might give him some more room. If he fails here, it doesn't mean to say he is bad player.
  7. I get the impression he is settled in London now. I don't know how often he comes back but you never hear about him in Newcastle these days. When he was at Liverpool, he always seemed to coming back. I think the fans have well and truly moved on from Carroll now but the club (being so in touch with the fans) seem to think that dangling a Carroll returning home story will appease them when I really don't think anyone cares anymore.
  8. You have to remember that a lot of those supporters who have taken a stance against the regime have chosen not to go back to the stadium until Ashley leaves. That in all likelihood means that the most vociferous of fans no longer attend games. We know season ticket sales are dropping year on year and they are being replaced by families and kids tickets. A greater number than previously of those attending will be there having a matchday ticket as a one off and so just want to watch a game of football without the hassle. I imagine the away fans will be a lot more vocal but Ashley won't care about them - after all away tickets don't contribute financially to NUFC.
  9. Did Ashley really say in his statement that we can't compete with those clubs? More propaganda for the media to say how unrealistic the fans expectations are. Why doesn't he say we can't complete with the likes of Southampton, Swansea and Hull.
  10. One of the editors at The Journal I think. He's just retweeting the article for people to see.

Think i'll go to the Leicester game and walk out as soon as the first Spots Direct ad pops up on our new supa telly. Was that up and running yesterday? I never noticed it at all.
  12. I'm of the opinion that Ashley really doesn't want to be bothered with such things as looking for a new manager or signing new players and so puts those things on a backburner until he is left with no option but to act. If the manager is poor but does manage to keep the team in the Premier League then why bother replacing him. I assume that the most important thing to Ashley is to stay in the Premier League but there is the possibility he's not that bothered either way. Maybe he has been saving the TV money incase it happens. However, I do still expect Pardew to be sacked this season but it will probably happen when least expected as Ashley will not want to appear as if he is kowtowing to the fans. The next 3 games are vital For Pardew. At best, we may get 4 points but he is going to be so dependent on Cisse scoring the goals and staying fit. Going into the Nov/Dec with 7 points or less and we are going to be right down there. The thing that may save us is that Burnley and West Brom are struggling for goals although I think Burnley would cause us problems. If QPR are struggling come January, I expect them to throw money at it. Despite Pardew bigging himself and the team up yesterday. I saw nothing to give me confidence other than the hope Cisse may recover his initial form. The defence panicked as soon as the ball came into our half but Hull didn't really put them under pressure and we looked toothless up front until Cisse came on. If we continue to concede goals at this rate, we are going to have to score loads and I can't just see that happening. At some point, we are going to have to go on a run where we pick up a huge number of points and I certainly can't see that happening in the next few weeks. Come the end of the year, you are then dealing with other issues such as demoralised players and I would expect several of our "key" players to agitate for moves. As far as I am concerned Ashley is just delaying the inevitable and more fool him as he is making the job of Pardew's replacement more difficult.

It is amazing the effect the website has had in the last week. All the media seem to be referencing it and most are now reporting the facts and concede that the Pardew is on borrowed time. On the radio last night, they were talking about how professional it was and about the web design itself and when one of the presenters referred back to the 5th place finish, the other then referred him to the myths page!

There are some very damning articles by some of the national hacks in the papers tomorrow. Seem as if the media are finding grasping exactly what is going on at our club.

I reckon nufc.com and the fanzines have something to do with it. About f***ing time someone got together and did something non self promoting anyway, eg that w***** Wraith and the shambles that was/is Nust. All the fanzines, nufc.com and the usual personalities are saying they are completely in the dark about who is responsible.
  17. Perhaps we should send some of those anti pardew ones to sackpardew.com. Would we good to get some new chants going especially those that highlight the negative football.
  18. How can he expect the team to play well when he looks like a broken man? The players see him every day and if he has given up, how on earth is he going to motivate them (something he has already admitted he has struggled with in the past).
  19. Agreed. I just wonder with the benefit of hindsight how much his decline was due to his illness.
  20. Just wondering whether the quote "Newcastle told me to leave" could be a poor translation of them just granting him compassionate leave.
  21. I imagine all opposition managers will do the same as Koeman when he said they knew we lacked confidence and if they went at us from the start and got a goal, we would crumble. And they will all know as we do that we rarely come back from going a goal down.
  22. I really believe he will go - just a case of when. I just can't see Pardew turning this around and at some point, Ashley will have to decide between relegation or Pardew.

They said: “We have 200 banners, similar in size to the ones you saw at Southampton on Saturday, that are currently being completed at printers around the city. “They are small enough to conceal so we can get them into the stadium, but we don’t want to go down that road. “We have contacted the club to let them know our plans and are still waiting to hear back from them. “The Hatem Ben Arfa banner (who had him dressed as Che Guevara over the word ‘hope’) at the Crystal Palace match was ours. “The club gave us permission as long as it wasn’t offensive and that we had a fire safety certificate, which we have for all 200 banners. So it is someone from here then?
  24. Ashley is such a w*****. I bet he saw the game on Saturday, the post-match interview and thought to himself "they have got to him. He'll jump and save me 500k from my 1.5bn. This is brilliant. He might even cry on Saturday." Le Tissier was on T'S this morning and was asked about Saturdays match and the Pardew situation. Said he was in the boardroom after the match and Ashley was there, who he spoke to. Said he was "very friendly and gracious in defeat, but didn't seem like a man preparing to sack his manager". Let's hope he really is just hanging Pardew out to dry. Roll on Saturday!!! Don't think we can read anything into that. There have been numerous stories from business people who have met Ashley and have had a pleasant chat with him and thought he was a nice guy only to find he has stabbed them in the back the next day.
