  1. Nor me but for £95M+ it becomes a serious consideration. Can do a lot with that.

From what I remember Wirtz has great technique with hitting ball, passing and shooting. Maybe dribbling isn’t a big strength, he’s not quick, not powerful and doesn’t have insane skillzz. I think Havertz as a great 1st touch tbf. It hasn’t clicked for him the Prem really. Makes it hard to judge. Has looked like he’s rushed things when his technique should give him a little more time. Maybe he overthinks stuff. Wolt I think has very good technique. Good dribbling, good passer of the ball. Yet to see him really hitting the ball on goal with any conviction (regularly ). Completely agree that he needs to be more of a bully. When you’re that big, throw it around and scare people. Pick on the weakest, make it moody.
  3. If anyone offers way beyond what he’s worth then it’s a good deal for us to sell him. There’s better technical players out there, we just have to choose the one who’s willing to go to well physically as Howe demands. They will options.

    Dogawful Officiating

Was truly shocked at how bad this lot were. Need suspending. Sent on some courses to learn the job and better still, back down the lower leagues.
  5. Looked more useful than Murphy again. Getting some confidence back. Tries stuff, doesn’t work, still tries stuff. Keep going!
  6. We were the much better team. 0-3 performance all day long.

    Jacob Ramsey

Thought he was completely anonymous first half. Better when they went down to 10. Expected a lot more impact from him.
  8. Time for Tonali to be the main man.

Was kind of hoping he’d be our Firmino with a bit more dribbling. Firmino was of course massively helped out by having Salah and Mane either side. Still…..
  10. was a bit surprised by the high line in the first half last night. our FBs got turned pretty easily. we sorted it out though. was easier after oderbert went off. I was calling for Burn to come in for Hall but I expected him to stay close to Botman. Acted like an opposing magnet instead. Anyway, got hold of the situation.
  11. Front 3 was pretty fluid last night and kept Spurs unbalanced. Gordon dropping deep, Barnes moving to a very inside L position, Elanga popping up all over. Not much serious goal threat if we’re honest (last night) but it did make space for our midfielders.
  12. He had Spurs worried every time. He also made some very important defensive contributions.
  13. 1st time we’ve looked worse when he’s gone off. Good to see. Keep it up.
  14. Thought the way we played, especially in the 1st half was quite obviously different and very effective. We actually used the ball through the middle and were dangerous with it. Top stuff! 0-3 would’ve been a fair result. They didn’t deserve anything, not a goal, nothing.
  15. I’d put Burn in. LCB if back 3, stay at home LB if back 4.
  16. It appears to have been erroneous judgment then.
  17. They are evidently the wrong type of players he needs to put a winning functioning team out. Whatever the reason they were chosen, I have no idea of the actual inner workings beyond the usual press reports/people making shit up.
  18. Whether the terminology is correctly descriptive or not, we’ve won when we’ve outrun and/or out shithoused our opponents. We don’t really outplay anyone from the off. We can look good after 70 mins when we’ve run them ragged and there’s space all over. We’ve been very effective when pressing high with maximal intensity, forcing turnovers in dangerous positions and capitalising. When forced to use creativity and movement, skill and vision to open up fresh opponents, we’ve not really been that type of team. EH success = underdog mentality, ran further, jump higher, smash into them, harrass them, take the opportunities. Thats why I think he got given the wrong players this summer. Elanaga doesn’t have the engine to press constantly, Ramsey isn’t really physical at all, Wolt we’ve all been wrong about so far and Wissa isn’t Wilson.

    Jacob Murphy

He’s below average in general play. Well below. Has a great cross in him though and a good attitude. Athletic too. Think that’s enough for EH tbh. Just a case of getting into positions with time and space to do the one thing he’s good at.
  20. I think Howe would dead against such a big turnover of players. On top of that you have the issue of him only being interested an incredibly tiny pool of players to pick from. Absolutely pointless signing players he doesn’t want or won’t use. Wastes the clubs money and undermines him. Lose - lose.
  21. We look like a team that needs some help with coaching. I think he needs some help here. Nothing wrong with getting someone who can inject some ideas that work. We’re really average (at best) with the ball. And our midfield……whew…….drive a bus through it at any time.

    Lewis Hall

I’ll take some flak for this, I think he is a superb footballer but not a great defender. Think we’d be better with an Enrique type. Don’t really want to see our defenders dribbling the ball all the time. He’s not quick enough either. Our defence is so exposed I think our FBs have to be the lockdown type, not playmakers. What he offers from an attacking perspective gets a bit lost because the rest of our attacking shape is quite devoid/poor. But teams can regularly waltz through our midfield and get at our back line. A lock down FB would suit us better atm.

    Sven Botman

I just think that was a perfect cross. Was the only trajectory that evaded both our CBs.
  24. I think we were unlucky to be playing a team as well coached as Brentford. They seemed to have an extra player in defence and in attack.
  25. Clearly hoping to impress so can move to PSG in the summer
