Him and Botman fizzing balls between the lines would change our attacks significantly.

It’s kind of wild we don’t target more technical/less physical types in the midfield or wide positions given what a star this guy is and how transformative he’s been.

Good pace when he gets going. With his build his acceleration is never going to be electric but he’s quick when he gets going. Was delighted to see him tackle Traore. Be awesome if he can be a genuine alternative at RB when needed. Hope he continues to be a goal threat in the air. We need that.

Thought he as really bright in the 1st half. Made himself important. 2nd half was painful for any player closer to the Fulham goal.

Thought the 1st half was really enjoyable cup game and I thought Fulham were really good. Some really nice football from them. We were also brave on the ball which was nice to see. 2nd half they really went into their shell. Stifled the game and we had the usual problems against a low block. Glad we won, we deserved it based on attitude alone.

Totally hear you. But we didn’t find Wissa with runs in behind. We did manage some nice vertical passing into Willock and Ramsey which was great to see. Other than that it was he usual down the wings type stuff. I do think if Hall was playing instead or Tino last night we would’ve gone ahead and sooner.

Think Lukic was his man and he lost him for the goal. Lukic was nearly through a few minutes later and Ramsey lost him again. Other than that, enjoyed seeing him on the pitch.

2nd half, we got the ball to him twice (iirc). Both times with him coming back towards his own goal. Once he miscontrolled and once he laid the ball off. We have to sort out the service to the forwards. It’s been an issue for a while.

Bet he was delighted Traore lined up on the opposite side.

He looked ropey against QPR tbh.

Interesting this tactical development with Tino moving forward and infield. Curious as to why it’s Tino and not Hall. Hall is the better footballer and Tino would more than hold his own in a temporary back 3 of him, Thiaw and Burn/Botman. Eddie obvs has his reasons. Would be nice if one of the football experts to TV/video explained why they thought it was that way round.

Thought he was really good yesterday. Would be tempted to play Barnes and Murphy against the mackems though.

Tbh we were completely out done tactically 1st half against BL. Sorted it at half time though. Teachable moment.

Unless we go 3 at the back I’d be surprised if he comes in for the weekend.

Really thought yesterday would’ve suited him but he wasn’t at it first half. Dunno if he had a niggle already but it was a blessing he came off with it. Tbh, doubt EH would’ve subbed him so early if he didn’t. Hope he recovers for the w/end.

Love him as a defender, I really do. I thought often his final ball was lacking last night. If more of our build up play had been down the left and it was Hall crossing/passing the ball I think we’d have got more joy.

He hasn’t performed to a level above Dubravka so far for us. Not saying he won’t, but he’s been a step down on Pope overall for me. Was a moment last night you could see the defender was expecting him to come out a clear it like Pope would’ve (or at least tried to ) but Ramsdale was stuck to his line, á la Dubravka. Maybe he’s just lacking some confidence. Dunno.

Haven’t noticed any improvements both attacking or defending since our specialist arrived. Maybe thr stats tell a different story

He was plodding. Didn't last night though. Think JL's unreliability fitness wise should present Miley with an excellent opportunity to cement a place.
