As opposed to who ...? Guthrie Barton Jonas Owen Viduka Martins ? Not bad but I wouldn't want either Guthrie or Jonas to be responsible for the supply lines in a 4-3-3. I wouldn't want Geremi to be responsible for any sort of physically taxing activity period. For pete's sake, we're talking about him like he's Beckham. His distribution's not even that good, I'd be surprised if it was any better than Guthrie's at this point.

I'd still like to see him out on loan if we stayed up and had adequate cover while he was away... not that it's at all viable or likely now. I think he definitely has the quality and potential, it's just getting in hours at a higher level than reserves to prove it in my opinion. Hopefully he'll stick with us even if we go down and turn some head in the Championship next season.

To be fair I think Shola was just as bewildered as Hart was

The one that'll keep us up

because West Ham has been somehow magically able to pay for all of their shit, Southampton haven't. it's kind of sad how there's been all this talk of them being bankrupt, yet they still manage to outspend us in the transfer market.
-
I'm relatively confident we'll win this because if nothing else, this horrible club will want to prolong our suffering as long as possible and won't be quite ready to let us off the hook just yet.

I think it was more the high profile he had, and the fact the manager didn't seem to know why he was there that was the problem. I was and am far from sure about Milne's role, but so long as the manager knows what's going on, why they're there and most importantly wants them there then there shouldn't be an issue. This is really the crux of the issue. If the guy's name wasn't Dennis Wise honestly nobody would have cared about him. Completely disagree with that. He never talked to the media, was barely visible in public, just went on with his job quietly, which was probably precisely what Ashley wanted him to do. If he was just another random Spanish bloke like Jimenez or Vertre nowhere near the same amount of vitriol would have been aimed at him.

oooh now you've done it...

Guys seriously, no. I know it's hard to believe but Geremi is honest to god MORE immobile and unfit than Butt or Nolan. Moreover, his delivery has long since regressed to Ryan Taylor levels. Remember West Ham at home? I do, because I almost spit in disgust when he hit the first man from corners every fucking time.

ban tbh. thats abuse david. Is calling for a ban not a banable offence? You did it too, so all 3 of you are banned When did I call for a ban for someone? I could point it out for you, but then I'd be ban-able too.

Honestly? NE5 is right (), these clubs will become increasingly unsustainable without more distribution of money from the top tier. Eventually, Prem clubs will start wondering if it's worth pouring money into the lower leagues just to keep Accrington Stanley afloat, and the lower division clubs will be cut loose in favor of a "breakaway" first and second divisions.
-
I honestly think it's amazing that England has been able to sustain 5 tiers of professional clubs for so long. I honestly don't think it's going to last that much longer.
-
Slower than Butt, not really bothered since almost being sold to Turkey, no legs to speak of... ...The fact that I had to think before hitting the "no" button is a testament to the quality of our midfield.

The really sad thing is, I have.

what happened to chonbuk motors over there? my housemate used to be them on fifa all the time, and now they've disappeared one for oldtype dude! i've no idea, don't follow it that closely as i'm not around so often these days through work Chonbuk is doing just fine. Signed a lot of ex-internationals (including good 'ol Lee Dong-Guk, formerly of Boro ) in the off-season and might be in with a chance for the title. But yeah, outside of the top 4~5 teams on a good day, the K-League is very often shit. It's just very compressed and physical and hard to watch for anyone who's not a supporter.

Good shirt. It's like they took the current one and fixed all the crappy parts. Will break my heart to see a Coca Cola patch on it though

This is the answer folks. The faster everyone realizes it the less threads get hijacked.

He didn't do much other than make a few good runs, we only scored off a corner and then hung on. That's total bollocks tbh. Jonas was absolutely brilliant that day, moreso from a defensive view than an attacking one, as a matter of fact. Like f*** did we hang on though; we should have nicked it midway through the second half. I can remeber Oba clipping another header just over the bar. Still can't believe that was this season. That's true actually. Not just Man U, pretty much all of our best performances this season (Man U, Portsmouth, Villa, First half of Stoke (h)... Christ, that's a short list.) have coincided with the other team failing to deal with Jonas.
-
cf. James Milner and Scott Parker for what happens when you hound decent players out of the club because they're not perfect. And in my mind Jonas is streets ahead of either of those two talent wise. The sad thing is all of this will be immaterial if we get relegated and have to sell him back to Spain for peanuts, where he'll no doubt have a long and fruitful career. Worse yet, considering how much Redknapp wanted him at Portsmouth, he could go to Spurs
-
Shearer basically just has to go back to last year's 4-3-3, tell everyone to do exactly what KK told them to last year, and pray. Harper Beye Edgar Bassong Enrique Barton Guthrie Jonas Owen Martins Viduka Taylor in for Edgar if he gets back before season's end.
-
Full-time Argentina international, one of the best players in La Liga last season, not good enough for 19th in the Premiership. Dear me. The reason he's not been as effective as of late is because he's in an absolutely rancid team where nobody ever gets in a position for him to pass to, and the opposition have recognized that he's our only attacking threat and are marking him out of the game.
-
This is absurd. Yes, I suppose he was being "abusive," but surely some of his frustration is understandable?
