read: Money. Don't think he had as terrible season last year as many think (though his performance definitely wasn't 10m worth). The main reason we conceded so many goals was that our midfield was outplayed in just about every game. I was getting pretty tired last season hearing other fans ripping at our defense as I think Beye, Bassong, Enrique, Taylor and Colo are all good defenders but when you have useless tossers like Smith and Butt who can't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds makes it is pretty hard to keep a clean sheet.

This is just pathetic, let it go already ffs

Hilarious. Ronaldo is the better striker and the best player i've ever seen. Best goalscorer, yes. Best striker, maybe (others had more to their game, but I think I'd still have him in my lifetime starting XI). Best player absolutely not. In his prime who came close? What about Puskas? edit: nvm, see you're talking about recent players

Just a shame WBA and Leicesterr are winning as well

Their goal difference is ridiculous for a team in 4th place 15:12 after 17 games. Are all of their wins 1-0? -
edit: South Korea - Serbia @ 2.55 Poland - Canada @ 1.6 Bosnia to qualify @ 4.73 Total odds 19,58. Stake 15 € potential win 293,7€

What the hell is going on there then? Madrid just don't look bothered. And it is certainly not a weak team. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/09/10/26/SOCCER_Copa_del_Rey_Preview.html ""I remember the bad impression we gave last year against Real Union," he said. "We can't fail our fans again. We have to go for it in every competition, and the cup motivates us.""

Wow, Totti has got 16 goals in 12 games this season. FM-tastic like

That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen

Oba plays a decent amount. Usually comes off bench but sometimes starts. Owen plays decent amount also, but has same chronic fitness issues as before. Don't know of Xisco, and Viduka is at home eating pies. Check soccernet for stats. (Americans are amazing when it comes to stats) Decided to look up Xisco on wiki "He made his debut for the Cantabrians during a 1-1 draw at Atlético Madrid, two weeks later: having replaced Toni Moral for the final twenty minutes, he had to be substituted before the final whistle, injured."

1. W.B.A. 13 7 3 3 24:13 24 2. Newcastle 13 7 3 3 19:8 24 3. Cardiff 13 7 2 4 26:12 23 4. Middlesbro 13 7 2 4 20:13 23 5. Blackpool 13 6 4 3 19:13 22 1 point from top. I definitely thought he would get the sack in feb-march and then again after the relegation, doesn't make sense that they decided to stick with him through all that and then sack him now when they are doing relatively well
