  1. 8 goals in 14 matches (4 of them on as a sub), I'm not complaining.
  2. Yeah and didn't manage to make a recovery either. Sure Fuller did well to go pass him but Coloccini should have dealt with it better, turned more quickly and put some pressure on Fuller instead of giving him the whole time in the world to pick a run in the box.
  3. Owen as captain should have offered a lot more in my book, especially in the second half. Its awful that a bloke that wont commit himself to the club is the captain of our Newcastle United. That makes him a top grade wanker imo and as soon as he's gone the better. Jose is generally crap and anyone who suggests otherwise, well they have a twisted view on the game. That's why you gave him 5??? Yep. 2 goals and nothing else. Frankly, i expect more. erm....ok, then. I'd take that, you see Where would four goals get him, 7 rating? Just seen the match and where the fuck was Beye in the second-half? Sure he wasn't playing in his natural position but he was completely invisible, I even forgot he was on the pitch for a good spell of the second-half. Really disappointed at how easily Coloccini was beaten for the first goal, for a 10m defender he should have done a lot better.
  4. Next 4 games will be really tough, hopefully we'll get at least 6 points and move into a new year above relegation zone.
  5. All because of that corner, Sunderland are forced for the first time in the game to bring more than 3 bodies over the half-way line. Man U get the ball and score on the counter
  6. "After scoring twice in the 2-2 draw with Stoke, Newcastle striker Michael Owen says talks on an extension to his contract have not taken place due to "all the turmoil" at the club this season. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/match_of_the_day/7769484.stm
  7. What a boring game, Sunderland time wasting already Zzzzzz
  8. FFS just woke up, missed the game! Almost glad now, you couldn't write this up. Faye and Bramble of all people getting last minute winners goals!

Just a tad extreme! I've only been watching for the past decade so my knowledge is admittedly limited, but who's been worse than Baba? http://img.skysports.com/07/07/800x600/pattison_543691.jpg
  10. So James Morrison is the best player in the world
  11. already 2-2 in the Pompey game
  12. Wonder how the break will affect him mentally. Nasty breaks have ruined some great footballers, Wlodzimierz Lubanski for example never got to his previous level after sustaining a bad break. The break affected him physically but also people say that it showed on the field how frightened he was whenever a player came rushing at him ready to tackle, like he never regained his courage and was somewhat the shadow of his former self. Still a legendary player by all means but never fulfilled his potential as I honestly believe that Poland could have won the World Cup in 74 hadn't he not missed it with a broken leg, even though his replacement Szarmach did well netting 5 times during the tournament.
  13. Shevchenko putting Milan ahead against Lazio. Rozhenal is playing, anyone watching?
  14. Oh Poland didn't qualify, what a surprise. Honestly believe that we have one of the worst youth setups in Europe, lost 3-0 to Kazakhstan in the qualifyings ffs. Remember when I was visiting one summer and saw that the Polish U 20 was playing the U 20 of Burkina Faso on Eurosport, so I sat down and rubbing my hands with excitement as I was fully expecting the mighty Poles to trash Burkina Faso. Needless to say Poland lost the game 5-0 and I haven't watched a youth match since.
  15. "They have spent money on a goalkeeper already so I don't think they are going to spend any more," he said. "I'm sure that when Heurelho Gomes gets his confidence back he'll be a very, very good goalkeeper again. "I wouldn't want to leave Newcastle anyway, I'm very happy where I'm at."
  16. Well seeing how Bassong didn't even play against Villa and Fulham, I'm going to vote for Shay. Bassong has been our best player in the last 2 games though.
  17. Wouldn't mind giving him a testimonial match at the end of his career like

    Good Times

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40976000/jpg/_40976922_tottenham7_416.jpg 7-1 Tottenham 5-0 Man U 8-0 Sheffield Now I'd be over the moon with a 2-0 win over Stoke, how we have fallen And fuck it, I miss Shearer... a lot.
  19. Was going through statistics on sky and found this to be somewhat interesting: First half table: 19 Newcastle United 15 1 7 7 6 14 -8 10 Second half table: 6 Newcastle United 15 5 7 3 11 8 +3 22 Unbelievable how shite we've been for the first 45 minutes this season

It was the best game he ever had for us. Anyone remember that video of Shay, Duff and Carr at the Celtic game. Shay looking cool as fuck while the other two looked like eejits?
  21. That's Liverpool out then http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4577876,00.html
