I think it shows how weak many of the European Leagues are now below Champions League level. An historic name no longer means a quality side. Spurs and Man U can only play to the rules and the teams they’ve been drawn against. Let’s not get started on the Conference League. Willock isn’t disciplined enough defensively, there’s an argument to start Longstaff. Bringing him in cold and seemingly low confidence would be a risk. Eddie would have all week to work on a game plan. Anyone but Willock for me.

I wouldn’t start Willock for this and I’d bring Gordon in for Barnes. Horses for courses, we need Murphy’s tracking back, Gordon’s energy and extra pace, Miley is a better fit against Chelsea. We need to snuff Palmer out, Joelinton will be a miss.

They’re having a great season. Trouble is, their expectations are ridiculous. If they go up they’ll get hammered and the fans will turn on them, if they don’t go up they’ll struggle to match this season and the fans will turn on them. They need to remember they were in League 1 very recently and struggled to get out of it.
