My mate lives down South. The doors to the station were closed but he got in via the car park. He was waiting at Platform 3 with a train full of mackems on the opposite tracks going nowhere. So what happened, they let the doors open & that's how all the mackems can be seen jumping over the tracks - to get at anyone - mostly joe public, as the charva kids pissed up on pop were all locked outside. By all accounts it was not pleasant & there was a running battle, on the tracks, between mackems & police. The police operation was a joke, the mackems should have been taken away at least an hour earleir, all they were to do was to allow kids & idiots who hadn't been at the match get another 2 hours drink down them.

Chopra left us & joined Cardiff. What is the problem with some of you? Chops is a geordie, so is Lee Clark & he went straight to the mackems. If a company offered you good money to join a company in Sund'land would you turn it down or expect to be an out cast in your home town. Chops gave an interview midweek where he made it very clear he was one of us & simply worked in the dark side.

As I remember Distin was hardly reliable for us & had many Bramble moments before Bramble even arrived. In fact Distin still has those Bramble moments. He wanted big money & his performances imo didn't justify it.

What is clear is that we need a strong target man. Viduka has almost no mobility yet he has made a huge difference when he has played (& been interested). He has given a focal point up front which has allowed KK to make the changes he has to the system. In the event that we go 442 we will still need a player of his type. It is almost unbelievable that we are still searching for the type of player that could play a Shearer type role & one that wasn't passed it (Viduka). Kluivert was never going to be the answer. What the fuck were Souness, Roeder & BS playing at? For me this in the main priority albeit we have a few weaknesses elsewhere.

We needed to find a way to get Owen involved in games. As an out and out goal scorer he was wasted & clearly unhappy 'cos we were shite & couldn't feed him. The recent change in roles has reinvigorated him. Well pleased for him & us as a team.

Forget tomorrow, the Reading game is the next big one. We can't afford to get downbeat if (when) we lose (heavily perhaps) tomorrow. Spurs cannot send us down - poor results against Reading/Mackems can. Bolton will do well to now get more than 6 points from their remaining games & have a better goal difference. Wigan also have some difficult games coming up. Play without pressure tomorrow anything would be a bonus.
