There was no hint of any denial so I'll give Shepherd that one.
-
He seems like a SA type player & I'd have him as our 1st choice RB. I can't think why Everton would sell when they are trying to strengthen their team. Unless they have to sell to buy. As RB's go I can't think of (m)any better options that may be open to us.

According to the Express: Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce considering a £4m swoop for Everton skipper Phil Neville. (Express) Right Back?
-
Nah, can't see it. Didn't Shepherd say his buy out clause for this window had passed & he'd cost clubs a hell of a risky price.

Spot on, the forum speaks & Big Sam listens.............maybe's not but the vote was correct. Well Done!

One shocking one where he was away and just ambled towards it, allowing Faye to come in and win the ball. Had he had his arse in gear for that we could have scored as they looked exposed at the back. Saw that. I think that example is a little unfair. We all know he can't sprint and hasn't got the greatest engine on him. If you look at it again he was playing up top on his own & had been "chasing" down the Bolton defenders for about 30 seconds pevious. We then broke up play & knocked the ball forward & he had another 25 yard chase. He simply didn't have the legs to get there as he hadn't recovered. I watched the game again this morning - he did ok.

Personally I'd recall Krul, if we had to, & let Harper stay in the team. Harper is an excellent keeper - too good to be a number two; but that's his choice.
-
Chopra is a professional footballer; he is playing for the a club in the PL who wanted him & offered him good money. Of course he should go there & do his best so he can move on up. He didn't kiss the badge, he pointedly said in the interview that he was a geordie from Newcastle & his goal celebration was that of a goal scorer. Wish him well; his team bad. EOS.
-
Come on everyone who is having a go; we are 3 up! I don't think Chopra is PL but it was a fantastic take and goal. He then came out in the interview & pointed out he was a geordie.
-
:wav: Come On!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!
-
We hate S'land; but well done to Chopra - class finish.

Neither are in today's squad - Dyer "isn't in the right frame of mind" but will still get his wages. If he stays then he's a 1st team player otherwise we need rid asap. I didn't stump up for a ST for players to be in the wrong frame of mind to do their job. I understand Nobby's problem but he got himself into this situation & through circumstance he will now be letting the club & fans down if he moves because of it. The timing of both could hardly be worse. Let's hope the team are right up for it today. Come On!!!

The story appears to have substance. Anal will still got the odd story right.
-
Caught the back page of this mornings Journal - says Geremi will be captain.
-
If we have 2 unhappy midfield players & seeing as we have other midfield players out through injury then we need to line up replacements & get rid of them. This is not a good situation with only 3 weeks left before the end of the transfer window. Solano, if he goes, must attract a fee.

Ameobi is streets ahead in terms of being a useful member of the squad. Do the people who believe that Luque could be an asset actually attend the games? I've wanted Luque to succeed & he seems like he may be a canny bloke but I just have not seen anything in his play to make me think he will ever make it at NUFC.
-
Let him go, it may do him good but I'm not sure what Enrique will think as no doubt we pointed out to him that Luque could help him settle in.
-
Nobby, move your family up here or are you still playing your trumpet away from home?
-
That's a lot of people putting faith in Zog being capable of doing LB justice. I'd have Viduka in by the way; the big question is who plays LB?
-
Trying to put the top choices (in positions they can play) into some kind of formation would lead to a side looking something like this: -------------------------------------Harper-------------------------------------- --------Solano---------Taylor----------------Rozehnal-----------Carr------ -------------------Geremi-----------Butt--------------N'Zogbia-------------- -------------Smith-----------------Martins--------------------Milner---------- That's assuming we play 433. The FB positions may change as could where Smith, Milner & The Zog play.

The rotation system will end; europe should get it more often, for the simple reason that there are more countries that would be better equiped to host it, some of which, under the present system, have virtually no chance of ever getting it. This may mean joint bids, but so be it. Should Germany, France, Italy or Spain get to host the WC before England it would be a disgrace. We are an easy target and too often lie down in the face of unjustified criticism of the state of our game, stadia & fans.

Looks lazy, can't run, isn't strong on the ball, tackles with his elbows, useless in the air & has an awful first touch (most of the time). Having said all that he can beat a player & can also score goals at the highest level. Never going to be a world beater but he is a very useful squad member & at times he looks unplayable - a long time ago but, he was outstanding when we lost 3-1 at the Nou Camp; he scored one & nearly put us ahead.
-
Utter rubbish but have left ourselves somewhat open to this type of story & it will unsettle some.

At the moment we have Martins up front ahead of Viduka, possible as a two with Smith or a lone striker. I can not Sam putting out a team at Bolton without Viduka up top. Personally I'd use Martins as a sub, if needed.
