    Joelinton

Schar gets a red for minimal contact, Big Jo get a yellow for a way more dangerous and reckless challenge. Mosquera meanwhile gets absolutely nothing for a strangle hold on Havertz (go on son I say) or poking Jesus up the arse..

    Nick Pope

Simply don’t get the Pope bashing, Pickford messed up again yesterday as did the Ipswich keeper as did the Soton keeper last week. Judge him on the goals he saves not his ability on the ball. There’s something to be said for having a keeper who doesn’t think he’s the next coming of Pirlo. I’d be pretty confident that more goals have been conceded from keeper errors than goals scored created by a keepers eye for a pass.
  3. I really don’t see why Gordon can’t play right and we play Barnes left. They train all week, he’s played there before and he showed today he can do it. Gordon may prefer the left but at this stage we can’t have a 35-40M Barnes sitting on the bench with Murphy/ Almiron starting. It will change, but for now, let’s do what’s patently obvious.
  4. Glad Eddie read my HT thoughts. On a more serious note; trying Gordon on the right was way overdue and in most games we don’t need both Big Jo & Longstaff starting. I think we’ve forgotten what Willock brings to the team. Potentially a big week ahead, if we can get a starting CB in and move Miggy on, we’ll have done well. It’ll then be down to Eddie to get our “Intensity is our Identity” back. We’ve been far too passive so far.
  5. Eddie has to be braver, start Gordon right, Barnes left, drop Longstaff. Willock made such a difference to the shape of the game. We’ve got Tonali back, it’ll be interesting to see how we line up long term. Tonali and Willock should be the options with Longstaff warming the bench. Today also showed that Tripps still has a part to play.
  6. I’d take Murphy off, put Barnes on the left and switch Gordon to the right telling him he’s got 20 mins to show he wants to be here. I’d also replace Longstaff with Willock and tell them to get their fucking finger out in the middle. Too slow and not strong enough on the ball.
  7. Woeful this, lack of energy, movement and desire. Trippier with his head in hands on the bench. Not a single positive so far.
  8. Bit late here but that 2nd Man U disallowed goal was pretty ridiculous tbh. No doubt offside but the player wasn’t interfering, wasn’t trying to score and the ball was going in. Guess the problem is you’d have to give the goal to the offside player.
  9. He’s knacker no doubt, first season with us he was very good. Won Young Player of the Season, he didn’t progress as he should have done. Could have been so much better if he’d really put his heart into it.

    Tosin Adarabioyo

If he’s fit and can’t get into a squad for the Qualifier I wouldn’t be holding much hope of him forcing his way into the squad for the competition proper.
  11. Pointless spending money for the sake of it. If that means we don’t get anyone else in this window then so be it. Won’t mean we’re necessarily getting it wrong. We have to make every transfer count. Last thing we need is making a signing on day a 3/4 year contract knowing that we’ll want rid in 18 months and struggle to move on.
  12. Wasn’t too keen on Chalobah from what I’d seen, seems to have a mistake or 2 in him. Had a little look, Chelsea fans look as though they like him, he’s 6’4”, looks quick enough and scores the occasional goal. A lot of his hi-lights show recovery runs. Looks like he could be an Eddie type player. At this point I’d consider 30M for him and walk away from Guéhi.

1-1 86 mins. They’ve been the better team.

Free to watch. We can only pass back since I’ve been watching. Defo 2nd best at the mo.

    Kevin Keegan

Milburn West Paddock for me KK’s debut. Side note, my dad got a ballot ticket for the ‘74 cup final (when you collected tokens from the match program). He gave it to my older 14 year old brother who went on his own. He’d also got to go to the home leg of the Fairs Cup Final. I still struggle with the envy.
  16. Schar knew the foul had been given. He was going over to collect the ball and, if anything, Schar reacted more because of it.
  17. Nah, really clear whistle. Diaz just decided to barge Schar over, verbally abuse him and hope what did happen, would happen. Could have been no real argument if Diaz had been booked for the completely unnecessary and excess barge and both players getting yellows for touching heads.
  18. I thought Soton were canny tbh. Decent patterns of play and Walkers-Peters always causes us problems. First time I’ve seen Smallbone live and he looked decent Great 3 points. Pawson, get to fuck, more than just the red card, generally absolutely abysmal.
  19. If he can stay fit, he looks the business. No idea if LB or CB but he looks a starter to me. If we get Guéhi and Botman back as good as he was then we’ve got some choice. As it stands, Krafth and Burn isn’t inspiring. I’d start Kelly next game, he’s a different level to those .

    Marc Guehi

We would, but if we were offered fair market value and the player wanted to go we would sell. Fans might be unhappy but I think we’d sell. Guehi seems to want to come, Palace fans seem to believe it’s a decent fee. It’s Jordan digging his heels in, feels he’s in it personally to see what he can achieve. Long term, that’s not really the way to do it. Regardless of how Guéhi turns out, I hope Jordan gets rinsed in the future.

    Marc Guehi

I’d be quite happy to walk away at this point and see any young player with ambition insist on a release clause if they sign for Palace. It’s not a ransom fee we’re looking to pay. We need to remember how Palace have acted here. They’re fully entitled to grab what they can but I do hope us and other clubs play hardball when the boots on the other foot.

    Marc Guehi

No idea, drafted a reply, went on lunch, took the dogs out and realised some time later that i hadn’t pressed submit. If you means years - too many If I should know better - I should.

    Marc Guehi

Whatever happens on Guehi won’t be down to Mitchell and he can’t be judged on it. Palace won’t let both Guéhi and Anderson go in the same window. If Fulham get dragged into offering more for Anderson they’ll price Guehi out of a move unless we go stupid. If Guéhi stays at Palace let’s hope he runs his contract down and gets his move, be that to us or elsewhere. Parish could do with the proverbial bloody nose.
