Palace just making transfer fees up. They’re pricing defenders like decent strikers, they got 50M for Wan-Bissaka ffs. Feels like they’re upset at losing Olise for 50M instead of 80M and are over pricing elsewhere. I wouldn’t be paying 30M for Anderson and I think we’d be justified in walking away from Guehi. Would be a shame but we have to stick to budgets, we can’t overspend if that means we can’t get other deals done and potentially need to sell better players than otherwise needed when PSR comes around.

He showed great acceleration over the 1st 10 yards. Made a recovery run in the 1st half that was very impressive. He looked pretty quick, only a friendly but encouraging.

If we keep a fairly healthy squad and avoid injuries we’re looking good. Eddie has a right selection if we keep our midfield fit. Getting Guehi in could be pivotal while we await Botman being fit. If psr stops us getting a RW we’ll be a little weak there and it’ll be a crying shame if Barnes starts on the bench with Sanusi possibly loaned out. If only Gordon was as effective on the right.

Reckon the new lad starts tmrw? Isak surely can’t feature.

Sanusi could turn out to be absolutely anything. Here’s hoping.

We can’t be paying a price that endangers say Bruno or Isak next season or possibly Gordon this window in preparation for next season. I’m sure we’re working just as hard to get some players off the book before the window closes.

We ain’t going to be able to sell him and if we can get 10-15 games (incl bench time) from him this season I’d be happy tbh. Last Dance season hopefully, if he’d been fit for start of season we might have got ok money for him. Really want him to have cracking season and help the new lad.

Wow just noticed this. RIP Tommy, slow and carried a bit too much beef but he could play if given time on the ball. Think just about the best I saw him play was when we lost at 1-0 at Roker and Cummins scored. He controlled the game for best part of an hour and nearly scored a cracker. Not sure how we lost that day.

Jeff Clarke, signed from the Mackems and was great for us in a shite team. Malcolm Allen, started off like a house on fire, got injured and sadly that was it.

He’s looked a little slow when I’ve seen him up here, he’s a huge unit, one of those players when you see them in the flesh you think fuck me he’s way bigger than I thought. There’s definitely potential for further improvement.

So I guess we’re not signing DCL. We can’t sell Wilson other than for horse meat and when he is fit for the odd game he’ll be useful for us. As much as I’d like to be able to sell Wilson and get a proper 2nd striker in, it ain’t going to happen. Guess it gives us a year to assess where we are.

I suspect Fraser’s problems with Howe could come from the fact that he was always blowing out his arse after 60 mins and just wasn’t fit enough for Howe.

We need a RW upgrade but with our injuries at CB and with Wilson’s injury record those 2 positions have to be priority. Isak will get injured and Wilson can’t be relied on to play for a full month at any point. We shouldn’t be thinking of Gordon as centre forward option. It wouldn’t work and would weaken us in 2 positions.

Think we are going for this guy instead of Tomori purely on age/ price? We seem to do our homework quite well regarding position and attributes needed.

Hopefully the Adidas facility has sown some seeds for what is possible and what we could do.

If the FA offer Howe 2 years with say another 2 years optional he’d have to consider it. In lots of ways he’d be mad to turn it down.
