  1. How can Villa double their money on a player who has largely failed?
  2. My personal opinion; Gnoto not good enough and far too small for Eddie. Summerville; meh. We have to be signing better than either of those.

Reactive football yet again. Hung Kane out to dry and takes him off too late. He then fails to make further subs to exploit the use of pace behind them. When we equalised I foolishly thought we had a chance. Instead we surrendered possession in midfield and failed to learn from the oceans of space Cucurella had managed to find minutes earlier and let him into the same area for the winner. Howe is the obvious choice for manager; cheers Gareth.
  4. Think I’ve an irrational dislike of Simon’s. Snivelling, moaning, twat is my impression. Probably wrong and canny goal against us though Walker did his best to get out of the way and little arms didn’t help.
  5. Kane’s lack of movement is killing our options. Get him off. It’s stopping everything.
  6. Kane and Tripps off please. This might be controversial but anywhere else on the pitch and the challenge for the penalty is given as a free kick.
  7. He’s renewed his tenancy on the house in Darras. Pretty confident he wants and expects to stay, was always his preference.
  8. Napoleon would have loved Southgate; he’s one lucky bastard. You just can’t keep waiting to go a goal behind before you make changes that you know should have been made 20 minutes earlier. Southgate still won’t learn from this. As much as I like Kane, he’s ineffective the way we are set up, Watkins is the player for how we are playing. As for putting on Eze ahead of Gordon; it’s ridiculous. He’s making subs when we just need speed again tiring defenders, we don’t need tricky players, we need pure speed and cause havoc. Eze has come on 3 times now and hasn’t turned a defence or pulled them out of shape once. I can’t see Southgate bringing Gordon on ahead Eze now and I can’t see how that can be the correct decision given the state of what the game will be when Southgate accepts he needs to make changes. If we scab our way to the Final and play France they’ll find a way to out shite us to victory.

Tyne Tees interview commented the same but also added something like 5 managers in 18 months or so. And then ended the piece by adding that the fans always give a new manager a chance. Said with a straight face.
  10. Great save but the header should have given him no chance.
  11. Stevie G will coach him back into Bruce form.
  12. Sesko missed 2 sitters, second one was worse. Just go past the keeper.
  13. That right? I’ll make sure my brother lets Lee know that his highly rated 19 year old son isn’t going to make it at the top 4 club he currently plays for.
  14. He’s going to say that publically. He’d had a tough time at Everton and became a young dad a few months after joining us. My info is iron clad here.
  15. Gordon really struggled when he first moved up here. The club (and Staveley personally) have been completely hands on with him and his girlfriend. Staveley had gone above and beyond in helping them. What that means in terms of loyalty I’ve no idea, Gordon strikes me as a bit of a lad with a plan. If that involves playing for his boyhood team and they come calling, who knows. Let’s hope they don’t. Having said that, my brother knows Lee Clark and was told that a deal involving Bobby coming back was one of many options the club had considered. Not sure how many bevvies Lee had had at this point.

Do they want to buy the S back?
  17. Been pretty reliably told that Gordon to Liverpool was a real possibility if those 2 deals hadn’t been agreed and that Bobby Clark was in the mix to come back. This is amongst other plans b,c,d and more.
  18. I was actually looking forward to listening to Southgate’s interview after we’d lost 1-0 with no shots on target and a tactical abomination to the point that we got out jail by hoying another big man up up top and lumping the ball in. How many changes next Saturday?
  19. Needs to be root and branch, bringing a few talented prospects is short term. We need to make everything about the Academy 1st class. We’re miles behind.
  20. We don’t want sell Bruno & he doesn’t want to leave. PSR might have pushed us that way and as far as I know he still hasn’t extended the rental period on the house he is in. One of the things this needs to make clear to the club is that the Academy needs to be front and centre amongst priorities.
  21. Well, his value can’t really have gone up since he signed for Forest. Anything over what they paid is nonsense. At least Anderson has potential to justify his fee.
  22. Agree, we sell at 35M last day for this PSR and buy Elanga/ MGW in the next period at a bit of an inflated price.
  23. Hang on; it’s either a poor deal or it’s a good deal. We could all live with 35M. How can there be such a discrepancy in the fee?
  24. As already said 10M is crazy cheap; the boy can play, he will score goals. If he had a touch more pace his ceiling would be higher. Hope we included a sell on clause (If we get to where we want to be I don’t think we’d need a buy back) as there’s no reason why his value will not rise with regular game time. He’s got stamina, he’s strong, good in the air, got good feet and gets into good positions. Think Forest fans will be pleasantly surprised. We might have done them with Shelvey but they liked Colback and Anderson is a completely different level.
