  1. He’s never saving that but there’s a valid argument that he’s interfering with play.
  2. He’s just put Burnley in a stronger bargaining position with that no blasties cop out.
  3. Agree, but if we are asking him to play out left we have better options. Foden has to play with freedom behind the striker.
  4. Pickford Walker Stones Guehi Tripps Bellingham Rice Foden Saka Kane Gordon/ Eze Southgate will just switch Gallagher in for TAA and leave the rest as is. Foden may as well watch it with me if he’s put on the left again. Found myself still picking players who need a huge kick up the arse.
  5. Southgate deserves every bit of criticism coming his way. We are far too predictable and negative. So many players wasted and ineffective. It all comes down to picking the right players, system and patterns of play/ tactics. That was a shambles today. I feel for Kane tbh, hung out to dry. If we set up like that again he’ll struggle. Southgate either picks him and we play to his strengths or we sack him off and pick a runner.
  6. We need to change the whole left side. Neither Tripps or Foden should be there. As bad as TAA has been I’d put him RB and put Walker on the left (which isn’t great either) and I’d get Gordon on, move Foden inside and take Rice off asking Bellingham to player 15 yards deeper. It’ll never happen. We need a better shape and options.
  7. This is all down to selection and tactics. We’ve far better players and are all over the place. Embarrassing.
  8. Is players you have seen on tv when you were alive and be random with countries? Holland - Cruyff France - Platini Poland - Boniek Bulgaria - Stoichkov Romania - Hagi Italy - Paulo Rossi Germany - Gerd Muller Argentina - Kempes Brazil - Zico (though Socrates was very special) Portugal - Figo Rep Ireland - Brady Spain - Raul The list clearly reflects my younger years and when you didn’t see much of these players and memories stuck.

    Fixtures 2024/25

Pretty sure the last time we played at Goodison 3pm Saturday was Ben Arfa and Tiote debuts.

    Fixtures 2024/25

Everton home and away scheduled for weekends is almost unheard of. Away no doubt will get moved to the Monday night.
  11. RIP McNally, back in the days when the papers were the major source of local football news, McNally and The Sunday Sun were an absolute must.
  12. She’s quoted the law but surely she’s misinterpreted it. Both players are entitled to go for the ball, the Austrian gets there first. She then says it’s only a yellow. It’s as if the keeper couldn’t have injured the Austrian lad whereas as he was lucky his reckless tackle (that won the ball) didn’t decapitate the keeper. In all the games I’ve heard from her she’s just quoted a law and made it fit to the decision made. I’d say the same if it was some equally infuriating ex bloke ref stealing airtime.
  13. He has, largely down to how the players have reacted on the day as opposed to Ten Hag. It would be lazy to say that they were gifted both trophies but, my god they’ve been fortunate. The mindset that ETH has earned the right to stay is misplaced imo. I’m sure Man U wouldn’t be short of options. Then again, Brexit Jim might be a spanner in those works.
  14. Man U are really just 2 or 3 players, less injuries away from challenging top 4. Their biggest issue is attitude and Ten Hag.
  15. Jenas could have been a top player. He was sensational in his first season with us. He seemed to struggle emotionally and also with niggly injuries. Make no mistake, he won Young Player of the Year on merit and at that point he looked like he could go to the very top. The goal he scored against Man U when they thumped us (again) was an absolute belter.
  16. He left the England camp in November due a “personal matter”. The story kind of put out was that there’d been a burglary. I was categorically told there’d been no burglary and there was no press report to say there had been, thefts like that are usually confirmed. One thing is for sure, he’s not been the same since and sad as it may be, he’d be an obvious choice to go. A couple of years in Saudi and if Eddie is still here bring him back in some capacity.
  17. Ffs Scotland turn up why don’t you
  18. It’s an ordinary world if Chelsea are in for Duran.
  19. Need to convince him that Newcastle is closer to London than Chelsea that money isn’t the source of happiness and that European football isn’t all that. Hope he chooses Bayern over Chelsea if they are in for him. It’s absolutely nuts how Chelsea can just keep blowing other clubs out of the water.
  20. Lads got rickets, hope that’s picked up in his medical.
  21. We missed Longstaff when he was out injured. He’s a decent squad player, at 15M I think he’d be a good buy for Leicester. If selling him is the difference for us to be stay within FFP/ being able to make an important signing, I’m afraid he’d need to go. I’d much rather lose Miggy/ Targett.
