Some on GOT believe it’s a done deal for DCL for 25M.

He’ll go if we accept an offer or if the release clause is activated and he decides the move is right. He hasn’t extended his rental in Darras as he doesn’t know where he’ll be. All things being equal, he wants to stay for at least another season. If he does leave, I’d be all over MGW in the hope he can perform regularly like he did up here at Christmas. He out Bruno’d Bruno that day.

I believe he’s Best Man at Big Jo’s impending wedding, the other halves clearly get on well. He has a young family, his father loves it here. He doesn’t want to go. He was made up when Big Jo signed his new contract. Bruno only leaves if we open the door and say he needs to go. I’m sure we’re doing all we can to get wriggle room elsewhere.

The main point of the games was to increase our profile (I believe). We were there for 2 games. We effectively turned up for a kick around with first teamers against Spurs and then we have completely stuck 2 fingers up in the second game. It’s not a good look and I’d have been pissed off and frankly been a little embarrassed as a paying Newcastle fan. If I was an Aussie looking for a side to support and had paid for that, we’d now be bottom of my list. We’d have been better off doing a meet and greet with the players still there and forego whatever we were paid for the second game. -
Mateta lumbered around the pitch like he was wearing a sumo suit up here early in the season. If Glasner can get him to maintain his recent form he’s a genius or, Mateta has been been stealing a living up to this point. He’s a very big unit, he’s clearly fitter now as he was blowing out of his arse and came off pretty early. Palace might have coached some movement and patterns of play for him as one thing you can’t really improve is speed of thought and actual speed.
-
He might have deleted messages before he left thinking job done. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got IT to retrieve his emails and run an algorithm or search and found this pretty easily. Why he’d send an email from presumably private email and copy in his club email address is just stupid. I routinely copy myself in but that’s always as back up for something I might need.

I’ll say it once more for good measure, he doesn’t want to leave. Getting into Europe is the “measure” by which the club believe will determine whether they need to sell a big player. Bruno is aware of this. It’s still up in the air, he’s not bought a house and he hasn’t extended his rental in Darras. Yet.

Apparently we’re in the mix to qualify for the equivalent of this, which is celebrating failure and if we don’t win it that is also failure. If we do win it I expect this’ll be the trophy photo and we’ll all be on the phone to the Samaritans at full time. Perhaps we should just decline to take part.

Dubs doesn’t save that Toney header, not sure Ramsdale does either.

Aye, Longstaff had to come off later and was out for a while. Didn’t Pickford have a bit of a go him for going down?
-
Wow, they need to explain what they saw and how they interpret the incident. Does that mean you can routinely, perhaps accidentally, step on someone’s Achilles Heel, rip their sock, draw blood, put them off balance and it shouldn’t be a foul? Scandalous.

I mentioned earlier that we get affected in the big moments at OT regardless of the quality of the 2 sets of players. I was fully expecting Isak to turn back inside, Amrabat was fully committed to Isak shooting. Isak doesn’t shoot if that’d been Amrabat playing for say Forest at The City Ground. It has to stop; I’m even more annoyed at losing this morning.
-
So predictable. I do blame the players for this result, lack of composure, when it mattered, just because we were playing at OT. Yes, we should have had a penalty but our inferiority complex cost us in the big moments. Be in no doubt, Man U are very average.
-
And we just know we’ll not win at Brentford
-
Isak scores at 1-1 we don’t lose this. So angry. Played the name and not the opposition again.
-
Absolutely livid here, thrown this away. Dreadful keeping

There is if you only use it for fact - offside. There’s also an argument that if the Referee is unsighted they could ask VAR for a view but that’d be messy. Blatant incorrect decisions should have a mechanism to be corrected.
-
Get rid of VAR but introduce automated offside? Btw, VAR isn’t the issue; it’s the human element.

Great Sky pundits line up. Where’s Neville, on comms?
