McGinn doing his best Gascoigne impression with that challenge, pity he didn’t do himself. Spurs player should be given a free swipe at McGinn the next time they play.

Right horrible twat McGinn

Even better, roller coaster style would be good.

Just build it as the land is, would provide a slope on the pitch other teams could really complain about. Don’t flatten the Helipad, expand it and we can shuttle fans in and out of various place in and around town. Build a huge car park on the Gateshead side and zip wire other fans in.

That’s really the job of the Government and City Council. I used to work at Business Pk just further along. It absolutely needs investment and regeneration. Shoe horning a 70k stadium into that space isn’t the right solution for me.

There’s Haymarket Bus Station, Eldon Sq Bus Station. Haymarket, Monument and St James Metro Station. Theres multiple car parks/ multi Story car parks all close to SJP. It’s an absolute piece of piss to get to. The train station and metro are almost as close to SJP as they are to the arena, with pubs on the way. For the arena you have the train station, a couple of multi story car parks and Newcastle College and I guess the Discovery Museum (which is closer to SJP). Getting the bus into town from north of Newcastle and you’re looking at a pain in the arse walk to the arena and back. Personally, I’d absolutely hate moving to the arena site, think it would be a huge backwards step. It’s an undeveloped area for a reason.

The current arena is already on the edge of a huge drop down to Skinnerburn Rd, can’t see how you move much north if the arena, you can’t go east and to west there are businesses. Access is also rubbish. Surely it would cost an absolute fortune to make that site work for say a 70k stadium. And, like it or not the location is far inferior to the current site. That part of town struggles when there’s a full house at the arena, if it were x5 and more capacity wise it would completely clog up the place. The road layouts/ pedestrian access would need a massive revamp.

Fuck sake Brighton

It’s a really strange situation, we’ve not given him the minutes to make a judgement and Chelsea haven’t tried to recall him. I can only think he’s going to sign permanently; we’ve not progressed him for Chelsea to take advantage of, if anything his stock has gone down Chelsea fans generally seemed unhappy with the deal. When you look at him warming up before a match he always looks happy and part of the group. It’s all a bit baffling.

They could always move the bust, the Band Stand and the Victorian walls and steps, brick by brick…… If and it must still be quite a big if, we move a slight NW move to that foot print would, on paper, appear a good solution.
-
Do they not have some of the Grealish money to offset those losses?
-
Wow, they’ll pass our 8 goals by 60 minutes at this rate. Most of their players have given up trying.

Sheff Utd are shocking here mind.

Wolves posed no threat and were very disappointing.

Glad I opted in for the FA Cup home ticket scheme.

Something isn’t right. Whether it’s just an accumulation of extra games with fewer available fit players, lack of options within those players, refusal to try something different. It’s probably all the above and that we also over achieved last season. Eddie still has a lot of goodwill in the tank. Big summer coming up, the owners may feel compelled to act if next season doesn’t start well. That said, the players available at that point should see us look at different side. Praying for a kind home QF draw.

Thought he was ok, decent kicking, did better than Dubs in sweeping up and though rusty, Dubs was equally or more so, rusty when he came in. I’d be happy to give him a few games and see how he goes.

Just shows what a bit of speed can get you

Arsenal were always going to be really up for this after the game up here. Desire, lack of pace, careless with the ball. We’ve got loads of injuries in key positions but we have to be better than this and Eddie will feel some heat if we continue like this.
-
Lack of pace in midfield is absolutely killing us here.

Taggert, call the police, there’s been a murder.

Why are we starting Isak? Bring him on from the bench, if he pulls up he’s likely to be gone for most of the season you’d think.
