If he fills out a bit he has potential to be top drawer.

Nice touch Gordon waving Silva bye by as he came off. Very Murphy.

Your own football ability - how good are/were you?

Pretty quick left winger, scored goals, moved to centre forward at around 20. Area trials where I was put at FB with a badly sprained ankle-disaster. Won a few things at school and Saturday side won the North Eastern Premier League (80’s). Played in 5 aside teams with David Robinson when he was at Newcastle and Justin Robson (Bryan’s brother) while he captained Gateshead. Played regularly against Garry, the youngest brother (West Brom). Their mother was a right character, she walked onto the pitch to stop our match in what was a league decider we won at Pelton Fell. She wasn’t happy. -
They still don’t understand or perhaps, want to understand, what the 110k petition was asking for. Their narrative is that it was demanding the takeover be approved when it was simply asking for transparency and a decision. RAWK aren’t very happy either Everyone has convinced themselves that we’ll get Neves for a bag of sugar and take the piss on a regular basis. We’re just not going do that.

Local rumour mill is that he’s split up with his missus.

Everton will stay up, in fact they’ll stay up more comfortably than recent seasons. They should have gone but I think that ship has sailed. They should consider themselves fortunate and unfortunate in almost the same measure. It’s quite a feat to spend so much money so badly.

Give Longstaff a good old cortisone injection and he’ll be fine. Bit of liniment, a crepe bandage on top and Bob’s your uncle.

No sympathy with the 2 Chelsea players colliding with each other and lying down hoping for play to stop instead of trying to close the ball down. Never a pen mind.

Our unavailable/ bench comfortably beats that starting 11. No more to say really. I’ll not even include Tino as he came on yesterday Dubs Krafth Botman Burn Targett Murphy Bruno Tonali Barnes Wilson Isak

That’s really disappointing about fans having a go. The players are trying their best in really difficult circumstances. Our schedule has been crucifying and it’s taken a toll today. The players deserve appreciation not berating. We will have difficult periods; it’s also a million times better than anyone could have hoped for 2 years into the takeover.

We’re knackered and littered with injuries. Move on and hope we get some players and legs back. Everyone gets a free pass for this performance from me.

Bournemouth are still 7/2 to win this. That’s madness.

Jo may as well not be playing if we’re putting him up front. Gordon has to play up top and we have to find a way to get behind them. Willock has been very quiet. We look like a team expecting to lose, not prepared to over commit and hope something goes our way. Here’s hoping Eddie is doing a Rafa, stay in the game and make it a last 20 minute game. We shouldn’t be getting anything from this game.

Big Jo centre forward mode

The need for us to look at a loan has been brought about by FFP a huge injury list and Tonali’s ban. Neves has been unsettled for quite some time I believe. None of this is preplanned or contrived. We pay the going rate for a loan, see if anyone else is in for him and let him choose. The Americans are shitting themselves at every turn, finding issues with everything we do and I really hope the other clubs vote against it. They’re voting on an issue that isn’t there but for exceptional circumstances.

Maguire heads the ball straight onto the arm from no distance, never a pen

When you plant your foot like that you are literally stamping down with a straight leg. If you accidentally stamp on your opponent it’s a potential leg breaker and you have to be sure it’s safe to do it. It’s a red for me, if I was on the receiving end of a challenge like that I’d be going off it. I’d be going for the ball while the oppo is going for the space just beyond the ball. It’s incredibly dangerous.

Definitely singing Ritchie wherever I went yesterday.

We flew to Weeze, all trains cancelled after the 8:45 in the morning, we had to get a taxi to Dortmund after waiting nearly 2 hours for non existent trains to turn up and no announcements, €300 between 5 of us. Another mates train broke down in Arnhem, the Newcastle supporters (and there were 100 or so) were eventually given a bus replacement service, that took them to Düsseldorf. He got to Dortmund after I’d left to go to the match. We were in Section 60, it was a bit chaotic, the terracing wasn’t great. The atmosphere was ok, too many pissed up fans. Got to say the Yellow Wall came across as a bit manufactured which was a bit disappointing.

Anyone there yet? I’m on my way into town, train to Edinburgh then Ryanair to their version of Düsseldorf.

That line is fabulous

Havertz apparently going for the ball here as well. He’s a proper dirty coward of a player. Referees must know this, he goes to do players.

Arteta’s post match comments absolutely added fuel and excuse to these vile posts.

Two things He needs to cut out the stupid stuff. He can’t run, it looks like he’s recovering from some kind of childhood disease.
