Villa are well drilled, very fit and use systems of play that other teams haven’t quite worked out. We got absolutely hammered down there as they imposed their style and we couldn’t deal with it. We got absolutely overrun once we’d lost the ball and couldn’t handle their transition. From memory Bruno hobbled through that game and we had another injury? Still, we were given a right good going over. I think they’ll kick on again this season.

Yeah you can only add it once. For away games and ad hoc checks - it mentions appropriate proof of ID. I can’t see anywhere where this is defined, debit card/ photo ID, who knows. No chance I’m taking my DL or Passport to an away game.

And that’s fair? Someone buys a seat for all of the matches but is more or less forced to leave it empty for some games? It’s all about making money from fans and it’s being carried out in a pretty callous way imo. Not so long ago we were giving out free half season tickets - no fan was holding onto a ST in the hope that they’d turn a profit in a few years by selling tickets for games. If the club want to route out this type, if there are any, just look at any who managed to get multiple ST after the takeover and take a look.

It’s fucking stupid that’s what it is. There’s been times where I’ve not really known until the last minute whether I can go or not. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t but, if I can’t this season I’ll be out of time to nominate someone so my seat will be empty and a genuine fan will miss out. Absolute bollocks.

Simple question, I buy my ST. Why can I now only give it to a family member or friend (assuming they’ve paid to sign up and are added to my Family & Friends group) 9 times a year? I’ve paid for all of the games ffs. It won’t affect me as I’ll not miss that many but, there’s loads of fans who can’t afford a ST individually but they buy between 2 or 3 and take turns. On the flip side of that I know fans who have a few ST that they use part of the time for clients and at other times for family. They’ve not got a clue how they are affected/ what they can do.

I hope some pretty serious questions are being asked behind the scenes about the decision to go digital, the roll out and how it will affect fans. Some of the hoops to jump through and restrictions are an absolute joke. I’m told if you want a paper ticket you have to collect it from the ticket office 2 days before the match? If that’s right then vulnerable ST holders are seemingly being chased out of the club. I can see chaos at the Villa game.

If we get top 4 this season then Eddie is a genius. Liverpool nearly caught us last season and they were very poor by their standards. Man U finished above us and they had Weghorst up front most of the season. I reckon between 6th & 8th. We have to target a European place and continue to strengthen. Slightly off topic but fans of Villa and Brighton seem pretty convinced they will be better than us. Got us down as hard working cloggers with a twat of a manager. Would be great to turn Villa over 1st game.

I’d imagine Eddie will use the Sela Cup thing to play a near full strength team at some point. I’m not saying that places are up for grabs but, we’ve now got some competition for most places. We look after Miley and who knows what he’ll be in a couple of years.
