He worked his socks off pre season, was bought into Eddie, got injured and left when Forest offered stupid money. He came back up the night he signed to watch us play, bringing up wood as well and got dragged into the dressing room photo. He had his moments for sure, but, the stars and players of this NUFC clearly like him. I can’t help but feel he’s a complex bloke and needs well managed. He’s a Mag, good luck to him, hope here’s there on Monday.

We’ll done Carlisle

Skybet no longer showing top 4 odds this season, we’re 6/5 top 4 next season 5th favourites
-
Take that, we’re there.

Just play until Liverpool score a winner

My signed Fairs Cup top. One or two missing and Geoff Allen and Ollie Burton have signed it twice. From a charity do a few years ago.

He’s back living up here and apparently training at Newcastle to keep fit. Don’t know the full story (said he wasn’t fit to play against Liverpool) but that sounds like a, go and find a new club fall out.
-
He was definitely feeling it, after a tackle on the stretch near the touchline. He came off not that long after and wasn’t moving right.
-
Yeah, he was definitely feeling his hammy. He’s been there before and played. I think if Liverpool win today Howe will try and patch everyone up and get the job done on Monday. Wouldn’t want to go to Chelsea needing points carrying injuries.

I know a bloke who worked for Brighton and was with the owners from mid afternoon. They knew who was being left out, had their reservations but, trusted De Zerbi. I got a message before the match saying welcome to 3 points.
-
De Zerbi chose to target their match with Soton and rested players against us. Did us a bit of a favour. He said as much in his post match presser. RAWK will love that.

Now I remember why I’m nervous about this one. My memories of Brighton up here go back to a sunny Saturday and Peter Ward. Newcastle's 2-1 victory at St James' Park last season is their only triumph in the 11 Premier League meetings between the sides. Brighton have kept eight clean sheets versus the Magpies in the Premier League, more than against any other side.

Did he just say they’ve been raped, dear me Steve.

Trippier will need protection against Mitoma’s speed. Gordon is quick but he’d need to be very disciplined. Big game for Bruno and Big Jo, we absolutely need to control the midfield.
-
Trippier was at fault for the 1st goal, poor defender. Pope will think he could have pushed it wider, no way did he think he could catch it.
-
We absolutely threw away a top 4 place. We were shocking towards the end of the season. The booing was directed at the players but SBR tried to defend them by trying to angle it that he was being booed. There was clearly something very wrong within the squad and the fans could see this being played out on the pitch. It was made out that we were an entitled fan base with delusions of grandeur. It felt to me that the fans were trying to get a message across to the players but quite frankly a good few of them by that time were becoming unmanageable.

Could really do with Brighton not winning this

How on earth did Everton score 5 against Brighton?
-
What was Pickford doing there?

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I don’t think Leicester fans rate Barnes that highly. Eye catching moments but generally offers little. -
That’s Everton safe.
-
Fair play to them. I can plenty goals between them and Luton. If they go up they’ll need to score 2 goals a game to be in with a chance. They’ll also find PL defences far harder to get at.

For all our shit housing this season, Arsenal took it to a new level and the referee was complicit. He took his time blowing his whistle for restarts and allowed players to roll around like pigs in shit. Odegaard (? think it was him) took an extended tour to shake the hand of anyone in his general vicinity as he went off. At HT there was supposed to be 5 mins added time, I think we played 3, due to a player going down. There wasn’t a single booking for time wasting, carry on. Green light for us to do it more, I’m not a fan but, it works. Leeds also did a fine job up here, expect more if we start well against them.

I thought it was a foul on De Gea. Soft, but still a foul. As for the handball…….knocking bet Man U get at least a point out of this.
