I think most with an ounce of sense will realise he's been one of the most consistent and best full-backs in the world over the past decade. Only through tightly-gritted teeth. Can't stand the man, but he's a very good full-back and I admire his love for his club and hatred of us. If only there were more players like that around these days. Its Liverpools. As we have found over the last couple of weeks, confidence is everything and the CL gives Liverpool something that no other team seems to get. I cant explain it but it just changes them. I think its because their fans are so confident about it all, it filters down onto the pitch.
