  1. Peter Beardsley's Hat-Trick on New years Day
  2. To think that the tedium that is Chelsea Football Club is still in with a chance of the title is a travesty against football
  3. Why does Alan Green call the Arsenal midfielder " Cleb "
  4. Barring a moment of madness from Toure (or bad decision from ref - take your pick) on Wednesday night, this thread wouldnt even exist. I dont think anyone would have had any argument had Arsenal gone through against Liverpool so to criticise him is just madness.
  5. I really hope Lehmann drops a clanger today to show him up as the useless, petty, pathetic twat that he really his
  6. Scott Sellars free-kick. We had been top of the league all season and had just been nudged down to 2nd for the first (and only) time for 24 hours, by Portsmouth. Needed to win to go back up top and the free-kick, to win the game as well, made it a magic day. .... and of course being there as O'brien smacked that free kickin earlier in the season. Best away match I have ever been to Play off defeat was the worst derby match I have been to
  7. Brentford I think. Whoever it was had just knocked out Spurs, anyway. Scoring was his revenge in that match It was Grimsby
  8. Ticht match. 2-1. Owen. Martins. Jones to play well and score for them
  9.  If you get chance, watch Southampton's goal at Charlton. Goalkeeper catches the ball near enough on the line (under no threat from a Soton player), collides with his own defender and just chucks the ball into the net. Brilliant
  10. Who picked Shola ahead of Martins? We also sat back for long periods and that gave them the bottle to come at us? The Derby players and fans had no confidence, the longer the game went on with us sitting back the louder the Derby fans got and the more they came at us. Allardyce tried to contain a shit team and it back-fired, that was a habit that he also repeated at Reading and Wigan, no excuses, he was shite while here. Makes me shudder to think of the Reading prematch interview when he said, while openly, that he was looking for a 0-0 (cant temember his wording exactly)
  11. seriously? I woud love him here. He gives defenders something tota different to cope with. Dont think he would come here unless we got rid of viduka tho. I reckon he'l join defoe at pompy Yeah. I think he looks decent playing in liverpools side because of the players alongside him and simply the confidence he gets for playing for a club like liverpool. I am confident that he will look very very ordinary for which ever team he plays for next
  12. Insisting that the teams first priority is to stop the opposition playing
  13. Peter Crouch. Do me a favour. No thank you.
  14. That is surprisingly critical of Wenger. However, they only seem to be focusing on the last 4 years and forget to mention the league titles and fa cups that Wenger has actually won. Its those titles that have put him ahead of Benitez in most peoples eyes.
  15. Terry McDermott's volley direct from a corner kick in Keegans farewell game against Liverpool
  16. I was at that game I think. Is that the one wherte Varadi scored with that weird kind of flick/volley over the on rushing keeper at the leazes end and doesnt look that impressed that he has scored ?
  17. Sssssh... Don't say that on here mate, you'll get lynched for having the audacity to recognise that Gary Neville is actually a very good player... I think most with an ounce of sense will realise he's been one of the most consistent and best full-backs in the world over the past decade. Only through tightly-gritted teeth. Can't stand the man, but he's a very good full-back and I admire his love for his club and hatred of us. If only there were more players like that around these days. Unfortunately getting to a stage where players are not allowed to show their true emotions anymore. What with the whole getting booked for taking your shirt off crap, players arent allowed to show any emotion at all. Sad.
  18. They are not in the pole but I still have a hatred for Stevenage Borough
  19. Villa fan mate from work who I texted as soon as I heard replied with a wish that they will get a points reduction
  20. Its Liverpools. As we have found over the last couple of weeks, confidence is everything and the CL gives Liverpool something that no other team seems to get. I cant explain it but it just changes them. I think its because their fans are so confident about it all, it filters down onto the pitch.
  21. Expect to see Golden Glory on here later crying
