Watch out for Sir Alex bigging us up in the run up to that game should it still be a race between them 2. No doubt he will tell us that the fans are great and will create a great atmosphere and that KK is doing a wonderful job
-
Could it be that the players were so uninspired during training by Sam, that they simply didnt push themselves to get super-fit

Its not so much winning it for Man U but more so be happy making sure Chelsea dont. If they win it, I dont think I will be able to remember a less charismatic team winning the league. Off the top of my head I can honestly say that I cant remember anything they have done this season - no brilliant goals/games stick in my mind. They are completely personality-less as a team and a club (now with Grant in charge) and for them to be Champions just wouldnt be good. Whatever we think of Manu or Arsenal, they have been bloody good to watch this season - Arsenal as a team and Ronaldo as the best player in the league by far.
-
It hadnt even registered thet Fulham were top and were therefore the best fans
-
Good win for them tonight. Blows my "they will just be concentrating on the cup" theory out the window. Going to be tough but will also be a good gauge to see hwo much we really have improved over the last couple of weeks

Just as well "Abusive language to own teams manager" wasnt par tof the criteria or else we woudl have been totally knackered

I voted too quickly I think. I voted Liverpool but I am just jealous of them and that isnt a valid reason for hating them. I guess it would be Man U for their glory hunting fans (some cockney fuckwit from Ruislip on Talksport the other day telling us that everyone else bar Man U are "Utter Rubbish" ) and for Fergusons unsportsmanlike behaviour (still prevailant after his comments about the Middlesebrough fans at the weekend)

So why did they have to win by a flukey pen? Nothing less than they deserved. Liverpool were strong minded enough to take a hammer blow like the goal and kick straight off and blast down the other end to win the penalty. You cant take that kind of positivity away from Liverpool as most other teams would have allowed their heads to drop for a minute or so. Where good fortune comes into it is how a player like Toure, who had been pretty solid all game, gets skinned and commits a stupid challenge in the box. In most other cases, against most other teams, Toure wins the ball and clears the danger. Bitter? Of course.

Portsmouth have been incredible away from home this season

Would be very ironic if Avram Grant manages to overcome Liverpool in a Champions League Semi Final when The Special One failed twice Will be a very tense 2 games but wont have the end to end football that this tie had. Did Gerrard play tonight or did he just come on as a kind of "Special Team" player when he needed to take the penalty ? Seemed to have aquiet nice for once

Just to echo Apisiths sentiments, Walcotts run and lay off was of world class proportions and sadly will probably get overlooked. Just utter magic piece of skill and can imagine what must have beengoing through his head because he was most likely still trying to get his breath back when they conceded the penalty. The lad didnt deserve that. That's when any luck being dished out more often than not tends to go Liverpool's way. That kind of play deserved to go through to the semi's (mind so did Torres's that cant be overlooked - marvellous)

Me. Pure jealousy as I wish Newcastle could be half as successful. But more than that, couple of years ago they still manage to win the Champions League when undeniably average (well above average in Premiership terms but average in terms of Champions League quality). That year it was Gerrard - this year Torres. Every other average team I know, dont win the competitions they are involved in.

I dont think we should under estimate that Liverpool have played well and have pressed Arsenal this 2nd half but you just know that most teams, even when playing well, dont get things to go their way like Liverpool do. I am sure Liverpool fans will say that it was "our driving spirit" that took us straight up the other end but fucking hell, the lucky cunts. And now its going to be the obligatory 0-0 over 210 minutes with Chelsea before they go through on Penalties.

Please dont tell me Riise paid for that haircut
-
I cant believe Arsenal score a wonder goal and then blow is within 10 seconds
-
I fucking hate Liverpool
-
Theo Walcott....... FUCMING HELL... How brilliant was he ?
-
Adebayor has been poor all night - some of his first touches have been awful. He had time to control that, pick his spot and smash it. Difference in the 2 Centre Forwards.
-
Part Nigerian, part Scottish, part cheetah. Bloody hell. Where in the ground would you put him

Quality. Tylesdley proclaims that Hicks and Gillette are not here as they would have proved a distraction. Camera immediately focuses on George Gillette in the Directors box. Priceless

Couldnt they have been more upfront about it and been very blatant about the fact that they were aiming it at Asians/Muslims. Going with the angle that there had to be some untapped and wasted talent within the British Asian/Muslim community, if they encourage more to get involved in playing football and coming to football matches then that talent will come to the surface. Surely nothing wrong in making sure that every avenue of the british population is scoured to find the best footballers we have. What religion/origin is Agbonlahor ?
-
Aye. Gerrard Free-Kick here we come
-
Typical. Arsenal take the lead and play some of the most eyepleasing and technically brilliant football this country has ever seen (and in the heat of this match that is very impressive) Liverpool score from a fucking set-piece. Where's the fucking justice. Arsenal went to sleep mind. Poor defending and it was a great header.

Judging by a previous thread, Jimmy Bullard was a preferred transfer target

He looks a twat, doesn't he? He reminds me of that bloke out of Tony Soprano's crew. Name escapes me. Bloke with the glasses. No cap, mind. Oh man now you got me thinking... its me favourite programme... who are you talking about ? Must be Patsy http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8110/patsyparisixr1.jpg
