I wouldn't count spurs as out of the woods yet either. They've already qualified for Europe next season, their league finish doesn't really matter. They're chasing a cup in Europe, they're 7 points off the relegation zone, still got a couple of difficult games and plenty against the relegation fodder. Some teams might see spurs as there for the taking, expecially if they get an injury to Woodgate and/or King. Its a nice thought but naaah.., they are well clear. Especially when they get half of their first team back that didnt play today Cheers Ramos you cunt

Lets see what next weekend brings for Owen. He now has the perfect incentive to pull the stops out.... He can right the wrongs from today that he has held his hands up to and he can do it at Anfield... a place I have no doubts he wants to try and impress. Over to you Mickey.....

Hope its not a financial problem of yours that going to be helped with a pay out from the bookies

Out of all the other teams at the bottom (excluding the bottom 2 who I presume we are treating as down), we are now the only ones not winning any games so the answer would be no... we are not capable of finishing above any one of them.... depressing

We got no chance if Reading are putting 2 teams out

In five games time, we should really be above them. I know, I know.

Thats all fine and well mate if we were safe from relegation but we're not and we still got no points! I'm not saying it was a satisfactory result, obviously. I'm referring to the people who think we were s*** again today. We clearly weren't. We need a major break. An OG, a dodgy penalty/offside decision, a huge deflection. I'd almost go as far as to say if we'd won today (as we deserved to) we'd have been safe. If you believe in luck or that kind of thing then thats 2 games that KK has had where in reality we should have won but things just havent gone our way (Boro & Today). How significant an extra 5 points for us would be as we sit here tonight With those extra five points you speak of I would almost be confident enough to state that we won't go down such is the quality (or lack of) in the league this season. I agree. I would be feeling comfortable right now as well. Just shows how important luck can be. If we are shit then so bit it, we get what we deserve but that fucking disallowed goal against boro is going to wrankle for a long time and i think we deserved much more than we got today. Just depends on how much good luck we had earlier in the season and whether it is perhaps evenning itself out

It would be utterly disastrous man. Totally on your own. To not be in teh Premiership would be dreadful for us. KK will still clear load out if we stay up

If thats true its well out of order

He didn't buy them though did he? Plus... judging by the reports I have heard today, getting them to play better and getting them to create more chances. We tore Blackburn to fucking shreds today. As I said in the pub afterwards, biggest footballing robbery since 1-4 against Fulham when Crossley looked like Schmeichel on acid. I wasnt there today but I was at that Fulham game... thats given me a good idea of what it was like
-
We also have the most pressure on us because I think its fair to say we would be the most noteworthy team to get relegated. I bet The Daily Mail already has their back page banner headline ready to be printed

I was scared about 5/6 games ago as I sensed this coming. Feeling has now developed into resignation so the fear factor has long since gone and today result(s) was/were met with a combination of anger and a shrug of the shoulders. The thought of Wigan, Sunderland, Bolton, Birmingham staying up when we go down is just a truly horrible horrible thing. How the fuck can we be worse than them - and I make no apologies for the arrogance.

Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*

Doesn't exist, mate. If we keep at it we'll stay up. If we think we're fucked regardless, then we'll be down. Simple as that really. Yeah I know. Clutching at straws really in desperation. -

Am I missing the point here but surely the only thing missing from today's performance was a couple of goals from Owen. from what I have read and heard, we played well and created quite a few GOOD chances that Michael should be hanging his head in shame about. Le Tiss, who I usually dislike, was very complimentary and seemed speechless that we hadnt won. People are all moaning about Butt Barton and Smith, and KK's team selection today but had Owen put a couple of those away, the posts on this thread would be very different - so the BBS factor had nothing to do with what happened today I think we will go down as I think that fortune is against us... we play shit we lose.... we play well we lose.... it just written in the stars. -
arsehole twitching time
-
few people said that wouldnt be the worst result to get They're not wrong there like. I think if we had been offered a draw along with a performance that was positive and quite a few chances were created... quite a few would have taken it

Taking their chances

Wont it be more to do with having a go at Birmingham and not at Eduardo directly ?
-
It's a tad hard to be optimistic. Need I remind you of our last few second half performances? Aye I know but today is another day... chin up, chests out
-
Glad you lads arent giving the half time team talk

I dont like it when a page on this thread gets full and instead of scrolling down, it click the "Go Down" button.... I think that should be re-phrased... at least until May
