  1. OK. Seeing as though everyone seems to be trying to be negative after 30 minutes of KK's reign... how about trying to find some positives?
  2. Developing the youth like Mort asked

    Today's matches.

They're problems are solved now, they've signed Marlon King... Sacking Coleman has to be one of their biggest errors ever. They finally got some money for him to spend, sack him, and blow it all on some utter utter dogshit players. Deserve all they get. Poxy little club that we usually struggle with; will be glad to see them go down. Not yet they havent. Failed a medical this morning

Got off to a cracking start when declaring " Portsmouth fans know I am not going to be here for long and will soon be targeted by a big club" (or words to that effect). What a clever lad

I wonder why. See him getting interviews this week talking about Keegan. Wearing that big blue hat. What a twat

    Fave KK memory?

For some reason the 5-0 is one of my lesser favourite moments because whenever I think if it, in my head I can hear Manu U fans saying"who gives a fuck - we won the league again that year" + I remember the following week we went and lost 2-0 to Leicester so it counted for nowt really.
  8. Can we stop with any negative vibes today please. They are banned.
  9. Caking it. Just really nervous about what to face if tonight goes wrong - I am one of lifes natural pessimists
  10. Still say he shouldnt be anywhere near our first team again. Was surprised to hear KK say he has his full support while also saying that Barton had let him down before !
  11. I think if you look at the opening pages of the thread about KK becoming manager again, most posts were of disappointment and suggested it was a bad move. What has happened since is that people have got swept up in the euphoria and the nostalgia but quite a few fans were a bit sceptical at first. I was one of them. I would never have chosen KK but now, I am looking at it as a scenario where KK can get us back on our feet again and get a bit of confidence in the team/club, then when the time is right, his replacement will carry on the work (and we wont cock it up royally like we did the last time). I dont think it will go tits up, but I cant see us hitting the massive heights of 10 years ago simply because of the gulf between the top 4 (maybe 3) and the rest
  12. Big Club - Yes Successful club - No Not a single person can argue with that can they. Seems pretty simple to me. I think the media interpret "big" with "successul" and sure they can be seperate things, other wise I guess there are only 4 big clubs in England and we all know thats not true otherwise us, Everton, Spurs, Villa, Man City may as well just jack it in now.
  13. I cant imagine being so childish as to want to ring a radio phone in to claim that Newcastle fans are stupid and are deluded into thinking that they are big club. I might mutter it to myself but then I carry on with my day. Good to know that we are gnawing away at these people though. I genuinely dont think anyone enjoying the thought of Kevin taking us up the table thinks "we are a big club as a foremost fact", we are simply enjoying the fact that we might be able to go and enjoy an afternoons entertainment once in a while. Everything about this country is so fucking depressing these days. We have just got something, just a little something that may just take our minds off the daily threats of terrorism, the fact that everything is so damn expensive, scummy government etc etc, why on earth should we be criticised for just bloody having some fun.
  14. I would love to know, hand on heart, how many other clubs' fans woud love to hear their managers say that "We are just going to have a go"
  15. I think that is a brilliant point. I cant think of another club where a man, returning after nothing was won duting the inital reign, can create such complete and utter delerium. I have felt so proud this week

    Fave KK memory?

7-1 at home to Leicester. Was a totally new feeling for me as a Newcastle fan. Was the ultimate result at the end of a season that none of us imagined would/could happen having been so close to despair just 12 months before. Plus, I actually saw a Newcastle captain lift a trophy. Hard to pick one moment alone but that day was just one huge smile for me. Everything just clicked. Speaking to a Leicester fan at work this week who was there that day and he said the Leicester fans couldnt believe the attitude and response from the Newcasltle fans towards them. Just a perfect footballing day (loads of goals, 2 hat-tricks, the sun shining, trophy, no bother, plenty of beer and a true sense that something was happening)
  17. Now that Barton is available i agree. Does anyone know whether he's been training or there for Kev to see etc. Barton shouldnt come within a fucking million miles of this game. It needs to be about 100% positivity. We dont need him around bringing the mood down

    Kevin Keegan

I am ready to be laughed at because this is probably the stupidest question asked on here.... Has Keegan actually got his coaching badges ?
  19. "Negotiations with Mort lasted until well into the evening – Keegan left Newcastle’s Longbenton training ground after 6pm" Well into the evening..... 6 PM ?? Fucking hell... what time does he go to bed
  20. That was what I thought when Sam bought him. Didnt take long for him to give cause to lose faith in him.
  21. Fuck him. He had his chance and blew it in the biggest way possible. I dont want to have to rely on unreliable knobheads like him. If he kept his head he could have been part of what KK will try to build and perhaps part of something fantastic. He decided to be stupid so he should pay the consequences.
  22. Can we not just leave the negativity to the wankers in the press. Its no good continuing to single Owen out otherwise one of the pricks will pick up on it on this board and it will be the next big headling "Fans want Owen Out" If he stays fit, I have no doubt that he will get goals in a Kevin Keegan team. England are just shit anyway - in my opinion that had little to do with Keegan - just yet another England squad incapable of playing together
