What do they base this demand for Shearer on? The made up shite in the papers? It's like me saying "I know what his favourite dinner will be. Jellied Eels". I liked Alan McInally going into one and feeling quote strongly about it saying that Allardyce most certainly should have KEPT his job because we drew 0-0 away at Stoke. What the fuck does he know about us and our club. What a twat. At least Jeff Stelling had the sense to retort and say "oh come on Alan, they were absolutely awful". McInally's face was a picture, he was getting really wound up about it.

It's why I wished Mort and Ashley had unveiled Mourinho as our new manager the day after Allardyce had been sacked. have just been thinking today in the light of the fact that we didnt have, as was the initial assumption, a ready-to-replacement, has it been disscussed anywhere in the papers or on the TV, as to why Allardyce has been sacked as what appears to be a bad time. Have any of the media or fans of other clubs considered the fact that Sam might have been sacked for reasons that we will probably never hear of. People get sacked all the time for incidents at work; perhaps something happened that is totally unrelated to everything else that has been discussed. Perhaps he clumped someone ?

Absolutely. A trophy yes. I have watched Keegans football and yes it was great. It still leaves us however, with a tag in the media of "but what did they win" so I am desperate for us to win one. I can watch videos and dvd's of the keegan era etc but at the end I just think about how we didnt end up with the ultimate joy of winning something It may be vain but I am fucking fed up of the media and other fans having a pop at us so winning a cup clears up a whole group of thing for us. Plus... how can we not want to see a player in a black and white shirt lifting a cup aloft ?

Why do all these people on telly say "Newcastle fans werent happy with the style of football Sam played". For me thats bullshit (in part) - it wasnt JUST the style of football played. They always omit to mention the baffling team selections and playing of players in the wrong positions. I think if his style had been effective, he would still have had a job and a fair percentage of fans would be behind him. So do these pundits deliberately choose not to mention these facts or is it just that old myth being bought by them all ?

Depends on his transfer activity. Entirely on that. I'm just impressed that he can do so much with a tiny squad, with some positions lacking in quality and others lacking in, well, anyone. There in lies the proof that a good manager can get any squad of premiership players playing to a decent level.

I've got to agree unfortunately. The media have it into thier heads that is all that we want, and wanted last summer, have plenty of footage to show it to be true and have brodcast that 'fact' so much it must be true that any decent manager will not touch us with a fifty foot disinfected barge pole. If this story is true then it really is a sad indictment of Ashley and Mort and their decision making
