Right there is the opening chant for wednesday
-
What did he say exactly Just said on MOTD that Shearer told him it's highly unlikely. Pity as I think it would probably save us from this shit tip of a season
-
Not MORE desperate journalism. When will we understand that these papers just fill their pages full of any old shit - especially where we are concerned
-
Whats he said about Arsenal
-
I found that a most interesting comment too. Looks very much like a case of the players werent behnd him. Is that Sams or the players fault though ?
-
That desire for utter perfection in his teams performances. Wish our managers and players had that
-
The Austrian training camp were good days... seems a fuckin million miles away now
-
So your advice is to put money on Man U to win the Champion League ?
-
Fair to say that this has gone as bad as we possibly thought it could of tonight. Hope Ashley and Mort are going to enjoy their Saturday night cos if they dont sort this out soon then I think the fans are going to be voicing comments inn their direction.

Even that Bellend Portsmouth supporter is on SSN slagging us off for being fickle. Have a look at yourself you cunt
-
What's wrong with that? I mean, we can really move on when the "Blind Shearer Worship" stuff is really finished. And there is also the slight possibility tht Shearer might be a success. We are assuming Shearer will be shit but the great thing about this sport that we love is that we just have no way of knowing whats around the corner. Could Shearer be the one to really get Owen playing again ?
-
Looking at it from a Portsmouth perspective, once they settle dow to the fact that he is staying, will they be asking themselves why he was even interested in the first place. He was on SSN before going on and on about why he is staying, the players, the location etc etc. Wouldnt he have thought this before and just thought "No, I dont want to even talk to them". He should just be honest and say he didnt like the offer and is staying, not act on like leaving Portsmouth would have been like leaving his family.
-
Yep. I think its time we just give him the job to see what he can do - be it good or bad I think in the long run it will do the club good as his shadow will continue to loom. Sadly its the press that always bring his name up and they will continue to do so until he has done the job. Literally no one out there who fits the bill. I am terrified its now going to be Mark Hughes.
-
Why do SSN insist on showing the betting odds. What fucking relevance do they have when yesterday, Redknapp was something like 2/7 to get the job. Fucking clueless television
-
Going to go to bed tonight convincing myself that Defoe is definitely a Portsmouth style singing/player dont go to bed before stopping defoe singing Oops

I wondered this when I read the story. The lad has obviously had problems for a long while. Where are friends through all of this. I dont know shit about stuff like this but I always assumed that once you hit a low like he did, his friends would be with him every step of the way to make sure he didnt do it again. I am guessing a footballer of his status knows lots of people. Its quite sad if he doesnt have any true friends who are looking out for him. Maybe it isnt that simple so I shouldnt judge.
-
cannot do a BBQ to save his life that lad. Burnt everything to f***. is there a joke in here i'm not getting ? private one i was guessing
-
keegans downfall was all or nothing, jose would be all or nothing, 'arry's would be money or nothing I think at the minute that all or nothing attitude is probably what would appease everyone
-
If Redknapp gets it I am trying to work out his motivation. Is is that he genuinely wants the opportunity to work at club where football envelopes the whole community and is the centre of everything (not wanting to belittling to Portsmouth but I think its fair tosay the mentality towards football in general amongst the footballing puclic is different in the 2 cities)... + win a 1st trophy for the club in a million years or is he just thinking, its a nice chance for one last big pay day before I start settling down by the seaside. For fear of raising Jose's name, with him, you genuinely feel that he wants to rule the world but with Harry and probably most other managers, you dont get that sense of real desire and I think thats the one quality that we are looking for. Keegan early on said, tongue in cheek, "Look out Ferguson, here we come".. he was driven to try and make us the best. I am worried about what Harry feels he would get out of the move. I am sure they are all driven to succeed in their onw way but I just dont know
-
Brilliant... SSN... Redknapp is favourite because........ "Newcstle say they want an experienced manager"...followed by no substance whatsoever
-
no other man is worthy of the challenge Absolutely true. Dream world stuff but I saw it mentioned before that Jose's ego could possibly lead him to say to himself "I can do what no other manager has been able to do in 50 odd years"... (am just enjoying these last few hours/days of optimism before the enveitabl disappointment comes)
-
The optimism is wonderful.

They all like to get their two penneth in dont they. Everyone has a comment to make. Do they all answer the journo's questions because they are ITK or do they not have the intelligence to say "sorry, thats a pure speculation story so I cannot possibly talk about it" ??
