  1. Sorry, I know this is okd but I have just seen Carvalho's tackle. Fucking hell. How come this twat isnt banned for a year for that tackle. Agbonlahor should have just gone back and chinned the twat
  2. It's actually the reverse, something like 75% mental, the rest ability. Really. You think? I would be hard pushed to believe that only 25% of what gazza did was natural ability. Still, if its the case then we are fucked as the 75% our guys are using amounts to nothing
  3. They certainly are on the forums: Given = shit, past it, cant save from distance, cant command area Harper = shit, unambitious, lazy Rozehnal = shit, weak, caught out too much Taylor = shit, stupid, slow, wannabe hero Enrique = spanish flop, shit against Liverpool Geremi = shit, cant do anything, as bad as Faye (Amady) Milner = shit, cant cross, slower than my nan, beats a man too many times, misses sitters Barton = shit, cant pass, gives it away Butt = shit, past it, can't pass it Owen = crock, shit Smith = shit, only knows how to get booked, cant score, awful midfielder Martins = shit, cant control, thick Viduka = shit, fat, lazy, crock Ameobi = shit, cant do anything at all, controls the ball harder than he shoots Probably a summary of comments you will find from some/the majority (for certain players). Great summary, just shows big sam is doing a cracking job! so surely its a managers and a coaches job to highlight these failings and work on them in training. isnt this the kind of thing we always see them jotting down. For instance, Martins' touch. Surely therefore, they should be concentrating in training to give him 1-2-1 training on improving this. They say Beckham honed his ability for free kicks and dead balls by just kicking ball after ball after ball when training had finished. I would be interested to know if Sam has sat down with Oba and asked him to stay behind to practice controlling balls that are whacked at him. Do this for an hour after training every day and any one of us would improve. Footballers wont look at themselves and admit they have failings. Its the job of the manager to spot the flaws and to help them improve. My guess would be that our players just arent practicing hard enough at what we arent best at. Be most interestd to know if this statement is wrong or not
  4. I fear we will never know. 96 was the best chance i can see us ever having in my lifetime (I am 36)
  5. 'tis something i have thought of recently. I say that a footballers game is 90-95% natural and the remainder is what he is told to do by his manager. I have a feeling sam is putting far to much faith in the hope that our lads can work to about a 50-50 ratio. never going to happen. you can bet that the likes of robert and ginola were given various instructions about back tracking but did it ever happen ?
  6. I had this argument with my dad a few weeks ago. They just cannot stop going on about his brother. Like that stupid slag Gabby Logan on Inside Sport a couple of weeks a go. Bitch. The lad doesnt stand a chance - they will only rest when he is hung drawn and quartered I didn't see the interview, but I heard she was out of order and kept on harping back to it like she was trying to goad him into saying something. Honestly mate it was sickening. In a 20 minute interview I didnt hear the words Newcastle United once and dont actually recall much general football being discussed. She shouold be fucking strung up for it. You'd give her one though tbf oh course. I wouldnt let hatred get in the way of a shag. altgough she has lost too much weight mind

  8. You're over complicating what's wrong. It's not his players and it's not the players he's taken over, it's his tactics and formations. Going to Wigan and fielding 4-5-1 is shit, simple but true. Not especially... as I've stated before, under Bruce Wigan have generally looked a decent side. Our away form is shambollic... was well before Allardyce arrived, too. Setting up to not conceed is the right way to go about things. If we'd come away with a 0-0 it wouldn't have been a bad result all things considered. Arsenal won a title on the back of clean sheets... its definately something our limited side should be aiming for (clean sheets, that is). I think the bigger issue is the length of time it is taking our defence to settle and the ease at which we keep letting in goals. If Sam had set us up to go out attacking and we'd lost 4-1 would that have been a better result? But when are these clean sheets going to appear. We cant defend for shit and have not improved one iota since Sam arrived - a fact that utterly staggers me. Its cliched but if we had gone out to attack at least we would have gone down fighting and would show the fans that somewhere, the attidue is correct

  10. is "a pack" the correct term for a group of hookers ? i heard someone say "our defence will part like the legs of a 14 year old girl from liverpool"
  11. At least the manager and players are on good terms eh Well, you know Decky, my forum friend, Newcastle are utter shit. I for one, can't defend their so-called 'good' performance (i.e. Arsenal), that's the sort of performance I expect every match. The reason for my expectations are simply that with the players we have (squad) and the wages they get, one should really expect them, as professionals, to fight in every single match.... other teams do.... just look at Derby... who are rock-bottom...or portsmouth... I'd say we should give Allardyce atleast a season. You know, it's fair, and for us (the fans) he can really prove his ambitions and true ability. We should only get rid of him if that's the requirement to have Ashley spend some big money. Allardyce is NOT new to the league. Allardyce should NOT be unaware of what type of players do well in this league. Allardyce is NOT new to scouting players for this league. Allardyce is NOT new to coaching players in this league. Allardyce has spent £25m on players of HIS choice. Mainly shit. Allardyce is now turning on the players HE bought/selects/trains. Allardyce has shown himself to be tactically inflexible and stupid. Allardyce has repeatedly selected the WRONG players and formations. Allardyce gave the captaincy to a player who had NEVER played for us. And who has been shit. Allardyce has since given the cpataincy to a player HE bought, who is shit. Allardyce should NOT be our manager, should NOT be given any more money. Allardyce is NOT the man for us, and keeping him in his job is NOT consistency, other than showing us to be consistently stupid. All correct and very valid. The most poignant being the one I have bolded Today, the fat idiot is reported as saying he is "unhappy" that his job rests in the hands of the players. What a fucking wanker. He ought to try being from Newcastle, and seeing his club in the hands of a second-rate, inflexible, overrated long ball merchant. Aye thats a fucking scandalous thing to say. Not quite sure how he can walk into training and look his players in the eye after that

  13. is "a pack" the correct term for a group of hookers ?
  14. its a clever ploy to get us players we have no background on so that we cant argue about where they should be playing
  15. not sure which direction that conversaion went but.... my original comment was that the complaint with our team at the minute is that they appear to not be able to pass the ball simply to each other. That suggests to me that the coaching going on day in day doesnt not allow the players to develop their basic footballs skills and they are not encouraged to pass the ball - hence when it come to match, pressure situations, we simply cannot function. My comment of ALL professional players should be able to pass the ball to each other was in response to your justification that some simply arent very good at it. Well if they arent then they shouldnt be in the pro game.
  16. Well, if you deem the majority of Newcastle United first team not bein able to control and pass the ball, then how do you see the vast vast vast majority of professional footballers who earn a living by playing football in all over the world, including those in Iraq, Malaysia, Spain or England? Shola Ameobi not a professional footballer then, despite scoring quite some goals in Premiership? Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard not professional footballers then, despite representing England National Football Team countless times? I think you are living in a fallacy with your own fancy definition of professional footballers, you are out of touch with the real world and your opinions on football should not be heeded henceforth. I honestly havent a clue what that is meant to be telling me
  17. didnt we do ok in this fixture 2 or 3 seasons ago and still got whacked 4-0
  18. True. Sam is almost safe from criticism in this one
  19. Could be the reason Avram Grants initial period in charge has gone better than most people expected
