The last ugly "undeveloped gap site" in that part of the City Centre. Anything would be better than it currently is, and this Fanzone Building looks quite good for something that is just a temporary building designed to only last for three years .
-
No, not the case. SOME people are (maybe).
-
St James' Park is in the City Centre, whereas Newcastle Arena is "on the edge" of the City Centre and feels more remote and more like it is actually outside of the city centre for the reason TomYam mentioned.
-
Hmm, a "slight" distortion of my impeccable logic !
-
Oh no, you are (in my opinion) 100% incorrect. Shearer and his voice, because we will KNOW that he means what he will be saying, whereas some "random expert" lying about things would sound awful, will make this amazing programme even better !!!!!

Not here.

No problem mate Though I do not have any 'unrealistic' expectations, just knowing our owners I have the appropriate realistic expectations, as I always have had about them.
-
I am surprised you would use those words in relation to me. All I am saying is what our owners intend to happen and (consequently) what I expect will happen.
-
Correct, ideally finishing 1st, but that will be difficult for anyone to achieve, apart from Man City of course.
-
It would not be failure, but it would also not be the progress that our owners intend, and they do INTEND (not 'hope') to make progress each season.
-
In two years time he will move here. I very much admire his character and loyalty to agree to stay, at his age, at their place for those two years.
-
You are talking 'finance' (for some reason) which I was not. I am purely talking, which I have from the very beginning of the earliest takeover proposals, about "ability to achieve" and (now they are here) about their certain intentions to achieve. To be Number One, so 'progress towards that' will happen this coming season, of course it will.
-
I'm sure that the owners and management of NUFC. unlike many on here, plan and intend to make progress EVERY season, and have absolutely no intention of regressing. A lot of us have not yet fully come to terms with who our owners are, and their intentions and their ability to achieve them. What other clubs try to do is entirely up to them, we cannot influence that, except when we play against them. So, progress on 4th, exactly how high this season, I do not know, but it is "progress on 4th".

I trust Eddie Howe and Dan Ashworth to get it right.
-
Nothing is ever totally equal. I am only talking about the 'choice of words' to use in conversation.
-
Who do you think are really "bigger clubs" now? When I speak or write about things like this I now say . . "other big clubs". Seems to make more sense!

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

What very old fashioned and out of date thinking. We live in one of the UKs greatest 'Regional Capital' Cities, with one of the greatest football clubs in the world who are on the rise with an almost 'perpendicular' trajectory. and yet (you say) there are still some people (who happen to be footballers?) who somehow or other seem to think differently. Weird, madness !!! -

ASM . . . -
Fortunately we are now owned by one of the family members of the property developers the Reuben Bros, and by the P I F. They are not the type of people to see problems, only solutions.

Please do not twist my words and please do not imply that I am saying EXACTLY the opposite of what I am actually saying.

Yes, we need to extend SJP !!
-
Leazes Park Stadium would be fantastic, the John Hall plans wanted exactly that until the nimbys got in. However, an expanded St James' Park would be (for me) light years better. Now that we have the owners who (uniquely) can optimise the SJP expansion, I will always want that. It will be amazing, different (as now really) from anywhere else in England.
-
Historically perhaps, currently yes definitely, but in the very near future . . . N O !!!!!!
-

I'm surprised to see you say that. I can understand the logic of what you say and how that could come about, but I absolutely feel that (uniquely) we have owners that want to make St James' Park give us everything we want and need, and that they are well capable of "making it happen". What a place our famous SJP will be then !!!
